    It is one of my favorite films! I saw it as a kid. Its still good today. I bought it so my kids could watch it. I love the animations and Don Knotts.

    Thank you for introducing Mr. Limpet on such a delightful way.

      You bet! I'm such a sucker for old movies. TCM is on in the background a lot!

    I loved that movie and I think it holds up pretty good. Love this sketch...goals! I don't think you have missed a step from your illustration days at all!

      Awesome, thanks Gypsy Froggie! Thanks for watching and for the great comment. I need to just order myself a blu ray.

      It's so good! At least I remember it being good. I'm gonna hafta rent it online and watch it again. Then, I'll watch "The Ghost and Mr Chicken"! Hope you're well Taylor!!

    Yes! What a great movie. It definitely does not suck even if my kids looked at me weird when I shared it with them. Thanks for the memory.

      @SteveAtkinsonFineArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's so good to hear Debora. So, the question everyone is asking is, did your kids enjoy it? I mean, it does kinda have a superhero!

    That was also one of my favorite movies! I rented it for my grandkids and they loved it too.

      So cool! I'm glad to hear that it still holds up. I don't have kids, or grandkids, but I may have to get a copy just for old time's sake, lol.

    That was fun. I haven't seen or heard of the movie but I'll keep an eye out for it. I'm surprised you haven't watched it since you were a kid. I have a few favorites from when I was a kid and I've watched them countless times as an adult. That includes making my kids watch them when they were young lol.

      I've watched the Emperor's New Groove sooo many times, but not Limpet. Gotta change that for sure!

    Awesome Steve. I struggle with shading on ink drawings. Either too much or not enough. A work in progress always. Thanks for the video.

      You're welcome Karen. I can relate to your struggles myself. The lucky thing is, practice is such a joy! I know you'll keep at it and find your balance. Draw on!!

    Fabulous! I would definitely say you've not lost your touch from your illustration days. Some really great technique here. I haven't thought about this movie in years and years. Thinking back, I remember it fondly but don't remember much about it. I don't know if I have a favorite fish movie. Jaws probably. My favorite Don Knots movie though would be The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. Great to see another video from you. I think I probably have a couple others of yours to catch up on.

      I loved the Ghost and Mr Chicken, it's my favorite movie of his. I remember the scene where he's in the haunted house, it's late at night and he sees a framed portrait painting that's oozing blood... maybe with a hatchet buried in the painting? He was perfect for that role. Thank you buddy, much appreciated. I have a couple of yours to catch up on as well, grin. Say "Hey" to Reese for me!

    Loved your drawing! I don’t think you’ve lost your touch at all! The music was great and I did dance a little😂. I’ve never heard of the movie but I will try to find it.

      Thank you so much!! Will you let us know how you liked it? I'm going to rent it and watch it again... I hope it holds up. It looks like I'm not alone in loving this movie, judging by the comments on here! PS... I saw you dancing (that's not weird is it?)!!!

    very cool! I remember the movie, it was great! You continually inspire me! Now I want to try doing this type of drawing, but my drawing skills need a lot of work! Thanks.

      @SteveAtkinsonFineArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Go for it! Just enjoy the process and knowing that with every drawing you'll get a little better. If you do a drawing a day for 30 days even, when you look back you'll be amazed at how much you've grown in such a short time.

    He already had the drawing in really light on the paper saying he’s just scribbling

    • @Finkeldinken
      @Finkeldinken 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, he has a light pencil sketch and then he inks over that, I don't see the problem? He's demonstating scribbling with ink?

    • @SteveAtkinsonFineArt
      @SteveAtkinsonFineArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kris, thanks for watching. I always sketch a light guide to follow as I do the inking. I'm not trying to mislead anyone or hid anything. It just saves time since most don't want to sit through a very long vid. Thanks for the comment and happy drawing!!!

    Wait does the Tom bow blender actually blend or is it for lefting color? I know with alcohol markers the colorless blender is for lefting colors not blending. I guess I can take out my tom bows and try it myself after work.

    • @SteveAtkinsonFineArt
      @SteveAtkinsonFineArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry, I don't know what lefting is, but it's called a blender and it does blend the different shades... let me know what you find out?!? Thanks for the question!

      @PortableXombie 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1
