Danny Dyer interviews Sam `Skelly' McCrory, an openly gay former skinhead who, along with Johnny `Mad Dog' Adair, became one of the most notorious members of the Ulster Defence Association.

So many comedy gold nuggets in this, but the white bits at the side of Sammy's mouth are the hardest thing in it.
Wouldn't have been in the side of his mouth for long self proclaimed swallower lol
The background music is so loud that I can't hear anything he's saying. Want to watch this video but can't.
it's a total mess
This video is a mess in SO many ways.
Skinhead?.......did the uploader watch the documentary?
Hes jewish. Its in his nature to fabricate stories to manufacture a false sense of victimization! they will never change! They just wish to be perpetual victims!
Think they were a skinhead gang before they got involved with paramilitaries. Back when that was in fashion 😂
nah I dont think so
they were skinheads in their teens, adair had his own oi band
@@stoveone4031 ..more RAC.....offensive weapon or somethink like that
That has to be the most cringe "wanna be badass" intro i ever seen!
Thought the same thing haha
Omg I was just gonna say. I had to stop the video the intro was so cringe
Billy the Limpet was not a 'Butch' role, just the opposite.
its danny... whatcha expect ?!
Britain's deadliest wopper
Sammy was that tough he and his fellow shirtlifter Johnny Gaydair had to flee the country because their lives were in danger from their own because they were both oolice Informers.
If I was Danny the divvy I would be more worried about my ringpeace than my life being under threat.
When is he gonna bulk up a bit? He's a decent actor, just.....try look the part at least if you going to try play hardman.

@@jackietreehorn5561 oh I get that. It's just he looks like a little boy next to these "hard" men. I like him though. Didn't mean to be nasty.
Is he seriously saying that ironing board cover would stop a bullet from an AK47?

From the US & its always amazed me that Ireland was not just violent but war torn vicous!

That intro, wtf, is he for real??

I agree. That background music and the flitting from on thing to another, renders this what might be interesting insight unwatchable.
So this guy fought agsinst his own in ireland. Hes lucky to be alive.. but for how long. Theres is nothing honorable in doing that.
read Northern Ireland history and find out
He died a while ago just..
He fell, yeah right.
He was in Hibernia not the Irish state
He fought against the insurgents in the UK.
What do you mean by "his own", you mean the Loyalist feud that drove him out? Regrettable that Loyalists can't stick together, but it was hardly a one-sided feud. The UDA drove C Company out, talk to them about why they did that.
I don’t know if it’s the too-loud music, the jumpy story line, or the guy’s accent but I can’t finish this lol. Love you guys but there’s too much going on for me to follow
Same here. And part of it is the insanely loud background music and sounds
Im so glad danny managed to get the real in deph look at these misunderstood men..men with obviously hightened intelligence...why use words when you can use various noises and violence to make a point.
Violence is Born outta Lies, So as Cover up the lies More Violence is purportrated. It is a never ending story...😮

Dudes, the background music and sounds are terribly loud, it's very hard to listen to the voices. I really gave up and it's a shame because I was finding this case wonderfully interesting... Pleeeease, in future videos, make sure to tone down the music and the sounds
Danny 'Fackin' Dyer 😂
Can't understand a word Sam is saying ugh
Ugliest regional accent in recorded human history.
I lived and worked in Belfast through all this but im at 11 mins and i can't watch anymore because of Dyer . . so annoying.

Danny looks stressed me to hanging around former terrorists/freedom fighters/gangsters I would be worried.Good documentary though Danny investigates some tasty characters.
You would have to have your soap glued to your wrist in the showers with Sammy and Johnny Gaydair in there.

This documentary wasn't even about skinheads. It's just Real Stories clearly has a narrative that they want it to be about skinheads and racism.
Danny Dyer is a muppet and not a hard man.
C Company were either killed or ran out of Belfast by other so called "Loyalists" paramilitary groups. Mad Dog Adair and Sam were lovers... You couldn't make it up...
Dyer is intolerable sadly..
I remember seeing that I don't think he was a skinhead he was in the UDF or whatever it's called

People can be more than one thing. Skelly was a skinhead as a teenager and was forcibly recruited into the UDA later on.

Dire. Wot a treacle.
I wonder what the lgbt think of sammys past in Scotland
While it's true that Skelly was a skinhead as a teenager, this documentary isn't about that. It's about him being a Loyalist in C Company. So what's with all the "former skinhead" this and "former skinhead" that, when that's not what the documentary is about? It doesn't mention the word "skinhead" once.
He was a national front racist skinhead... skinhead music started in the 60s with black and white working class people in England living together and rock and reggae fused together....the 80s had a revival of and called ska
@@jackietreehorn5561 I'm familiar with the history of the Skinhead subculture(s). The first wave evolved out of the Mod subculture in the mid-'60s and was influenced by the Jamaican Rudeboy subculture. They listened to ska, rocksteady and reggae, particularly from the Trojan record label. So much so that this first wave is sometimes called Trojan Skinhead. They were black and white, but racism against Asians was already part of the scene by the late '60s.
In the early '70s the first wave faded away from its heartland in East London, and Skinheads merged with Football Hooligans. A second wave of Skinheads came through in the late '70s influenced by punk. This is when Skinheads became particularly associated with the National Front and racism, because the National Front had been quietly recruiting skinheads throughout the '70s. By the early '80s these NF Skinheads were listening to Oi! and Rock Against Communism, and this is the type of Skinhead Skelly and Adair were. But at the same, 2-Tone saw a revival of skinhead closer to the original Trojan Skinheads.

Skinhead was a popular subculture in the 80s in the UK and Ireland... The ska music
Skelly was absolutely a skinhead, in the early '80s. But I agree the title is stupid because the documentary isn't about that.
