I'd like to say a big THANK YOU for this video, you saved me a huge amount of time and effort. I was wondering if it's possible for me to use this road to get closer to Mount Maxwell. Now I see that my car doesn't have a chance there.

You are very welcome. You may still get to within about 2.5 km of the main observation point in any vehicle, and then hike up - it's not a very steep road to hike on, with almost no traffic and a fine forest all around.
