    I saw the whole thing, the white car had the left signal on, although was still at fault, vehicles turning left must yield to vehicles going straight, therefore the jeep had the right of way

    • @johnchristian7788

      It's there a theoretical limit for right of way. What if a car is coming straight 2 km away? Should the SUV wait till it arrives in the intersection from 2km away? If cars were continuously coming, then the SUV should never turn? Not arguing. I'm genuinely curious. In my country, laws are different.

    • @sebastianvasile672

      @@johnchristian7788 Yes, this is the United States. DMV says that you must yield to oncoming vehicles while turning left. And yes if this answers your question the white SUV should wait til traffic clears, first it needs to stop in the middle of the intersection while waiting to make a left turn then proceed when safe. Left turns can be dangerous.

    The Jeep was speeding and the driver could not have been looking at the road, as there was zero reaction to the clearly Imminent impact. The white SUV misjudged the speed of the jeep, as the other oncoming traffic was moving much slower. Also the bend in the road makes it difficult to asses the speed accurately.

    • @thabzmad7265
      @thabzmad7265 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Jeep wasn't speeding, impact shows near normal speed for the road. Both were not paying attention, perhaps the jeep guy was momentarily distracted and the white SUV driver is color blind and could not see the jeep...

      @@jonie234 Nope, been witness to speeding junction collisions (feel free to lookup junction accidents on TH-cam for actual speeding accident examples) , based on the aftermath, visible damage incurred by both cars and the final positions after the impact, there was not a lot of momentum involved, which means, you guessed it, Jeep wasn't speeding or going faster beyond the norm. Was the Jeep driver paying attention, nope...unless if the suv presented them with an offer they couldn't refuse...
      Peace.

      Traverse was at fault regardless of speed. Vehicles turning left against the light must always yield to oncoming traffic. Jeep had the right of way. Traverse is both wrong and kind of dense too.

      Thank god you’re okay dude. Just got into a huge fight with my girlfriend - she pulled out into traffic without even looking and if I hadn’t been screaming at her to brake we would have gotten T boned on MY door, with the other driver going about 30/35 mph. Her car would be totaled and I could have been seriously injured, yet she brushed it off as “oops I forgot to look” and now I am the dick for “yelling at her to brake” and “making it such a big deal”. I saved her ass from it being a big deal and my ass from being injured, now I’m looking for videos to show her what can happen since she clearly doesn’t understand car wrecks are no fuckin joke

      I T-boned someone going 120, and ur saying u don't know how ur alive? Dude I DONT KNOW HOW IM ALIVE. I made it out completely fine, just seatbelt bruises on my body and knees are bruised up. The person was trying to pull into a plaza crossing all 3 lanes of traffic and I was on the far right lane, and he was probably going 15 mph if that. I had to swerve left to avoid cutting right through the drivers/ back seat side, so I cut his trunk off clean. Everyones ok.

    I was the jeep in this situationn but there was WAY more traffic as it was around 6pm during rush hour in south florida. In my case I was not able to see the white car making the turn as I was on the lane farthest from the white cars turning lane and would not have been able to see the car until iminent impact. Just happened yesterday waiting to see who is at fault. Sucks because I was abbout to buy a dash cam as I saw a car accident earlier in the week and explicitly told my gf "This is a sign I need to get a dashcam and may not drive the car for a few days" and sure enough lol. Luckily nobody was hurt and it was a pretty smooth process exchanging insurances. Just sucks I might be at fault because I tried evading the hit that way I did not directly t-bone the other car and ended up striking the rear just like in this video.
