In today's video, I am going to be giving you all a tour of my first official apartment and I am so excited to show you! This video has been in the works for a minute, so I apologize for its late arrival!
This is a luxury 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment located 10 minutes outside of Portland, Oregon. I filmed this video back in June so most of the apartment is furnished by now. Expect a furnished tour soon :).

So, so sorry for the long wait y'all! I'm so excited to show y'all my apartment tour :). What do y’all think the drawer below the stove is actually used for? Growing up, we used it to store pots and pans but I’ve been hearing lately it’s to keep cooked food warm. Let me know what you think down in the comment below!
It’s a toaster
It's a toaster/boiler. Do not store in the drawer...lol... it should use the same heating element as the oven.

Kori!! Your apartment is GORG sis!! I’m so excited for you and I learned a while ago that the bottom oven drawer is a warmer for cooked food HOWEVER my parents have always used it as extra storage so I’ll keep that tradition alive when I move into my place 😂

I’m in this same boat of trying to find a place in the Portland area after getting a new job opportunity. I swear the rental market has gone a bit crazy. I’m still trying to narrow down the places that I have a true interest in while keeping the cost of parking in mind (coming from Georgia… this is new for me). Congrats on finally moving in! 🥳🥳🥳

Hey Kori! love the apartment! I BELIEVE the bottom of the oven is an oven broiler! U can cook food down there! (lol can also store pots and pans!) but u can cook, brown, char or caramelize food!

Yep. Even though it's *technically* a broiler, it is really a cookie sheet/cutting board storage drawer! 😉

You have the cutest kitchen! That’s a huge refrigerator. I live at home and that’s just a normal size fridge for 4 people currently living at home.

@@korimaria Well since I’m only on my 3rd week, I think it’s to soon to say, plus all I have I’ve been doing is eating lol. But I’m excited to explore all that Portland has to offer. Hiking is on my list, especially before it gets to cold. Girl you ready for the snow? Lol
Contemplating a move from Chicago to Portland, this was REALLY helpful! As a fellow Midwesterner, what are the vibes of the city? Are you finding the food and different entertainment venues pretty decent? Also….love that apartment! Do you mind sharing rent? I’ve watched a couple different videos about moving to PDX and loving the idea! And love the idea of never having to shovel snow again 😂
Definitely very different from the Midwest but not having snow is absolutely wonderful! Endless amounts of food and nature, gotta do some searching in downtown Portland to get other good entertainment otherwise. Around the time I was looking, rent was $1800

Ahh!! So I'm moving to Portland in a couple weeks and am going to be looking for apartments while i rent a room from my aunt in the meantime. I would love to email you or something to maybe see where this is located?? The fact that it has AC and checks all the boxes is amazing and its just a beautiful place. Don’t you use that drawer for extra pots and pans. That’s where my mom use it for.
Right that’s what we used it for too but I heard it’s for keeping cooked for warm!

You definitely want to know the brand and what it means to you. Also, go into the interviews being yourself and confident in your abilities and what you bring to the company. Those are def key in standing out
