This was a great interview! Thank you for posting it. I could listen to him talk all day long. What a brilliant, beautiful man! No one sings like you anymore... We miss you, Chris.
I'm surprised how eloquent this guy really is. He kept talking (and making sense) without hesitations or relying on "fucks" and "shits" to sound badass. Damn, he will be missed!
Great video, thank you for sharing this. I was lucky, this was my generation And living in Portland was great, because the Seattle bands would play in our clubs and vice versa. And that was long before the word grunge was ever mentioned. And all of that music is still relevant today. This loss really hurts.
One of modern music's under appreciated genius. Saw him solo, with totd and Soundgarden. Arguably one of the most influential musicians of the latter half of the 20th century.
I really enjoyed this interview. Everything Chris said really rings true and resonates with my experience of the music during that period. Feeling very nostalgic right now!!
WOW that was amazing!! I really enjoyed that interview, Chris Cornell is beautiful talented and a amazing man, I got emotional through it and especially what you added at the ending. We have loss so much amazing brilliant musicians 😢 I'm just thankful that we have these videos and clips of all of them and especially the TH-camrs that have shared all this amazing memories, thank you sooo very much every one of you, your all awesome!!! 😊❤️💗👍🤘👏✌️So appreciated!!
Aye Jay 7 broken ribs hands himself 4 inches above his height on a rubber workout band wife says she called him asking why he was messing with lights in there home on his phone that was 1135 she said he responded yeah I did that an hour ago he was still on stage 1035
Michael wright I believe it was 9 broken ribs...according to report. That doesnt happen in administering cpr...Whether it was 7 or 9...it still doesnt happen... This stinks to high heaven...
Aye Jay You're so right, and the info on the events that night, regardless, of credibility, prove he did NOT take his own life. Chris Cornell did not commit suicide. He will forever be missed and memorialized as the brilliant legendary talent of of our lifetime.
Five years later most people will agree on Chris being the GOAT! It takes a brilliant mind to make brilliant music, and this interview will showcase just how intelligent and creative he was
what year was this interview? It really is so much of what I recall liking about the music scene at that time. Particularly that the alternative scene's insularity; but a place where people who were interested in socio-political art, literature were attracted. Still doesn't seem real that he is not with us, and not with his family. Depression is a beast.
Chris Cornell was the greatest rock singer to ever do it,If you doubt it listen to Badmotorfinger & Temple of the Dog & show me greater vocal performances cuz I have yet to hear anything that comes close...sorta like trying to find a guitar player who can compare to Hendrix
James Rockford They didn’t start it. That distinction goes to Green River and The Melvin’s. Soundgarden was definitely one of the first pioneering bands from the scene though. They’re just as important, and maybe even more important to the Seattle scene still being relevant then the aforementioned bands. Soundgarden’s music will live on forever.
He could have been on no meds? Just don't want to assume anything, the fact is we don't know. Meds being significant factor in his demise, best to just leave it out without proof. I respect trying to connect and empathize, but let's just appreciate him, for him 💘 🤙
@@dadpool2922 I appreciate CJC just the way he is/was...when i said he was on his meds because it takes one to know one, that statement was made out of love and caring. It is very difficult to get the balance correct. People who know recognize it right away. Listen to some of his other interviews where he is struggling for words and is obviously anxious. It's a recognizable difference.
Making music to entertain yourselves. That's exactly what Metallica said when they made their music and the same thing happened to them. Honest music always wins overall.
I just don't get why he killed himself after seeing how Kurt Cobain suicide hurt his family. Also, Chris had kids so why leave them with no father? Why hurt his wife like that also? 😔
I still find it hard to comprehend. He had reached such success in his life on many levels. And clearly wouldn't want to leave his partner and children like that. He had love and stability in his life. He was a smart, level headed and assured man. After all this time, it still doesn't make sense to me.
Suck. These guys shot on Hatfield Lars the out of time forgetful drummer the bassist that ain't close to original and hammett that's few people's 2019 idol. Metallica lost their cool pretty much as quickly as they lost their hair. Early albums maybe. They suck now

Chris had a rare gift. A very beautiful soul as I like to say when I see it. Just like I saw in Kurt.
I just want to hug him so badly.
I WILL ALWAYS MISS THIS GUY.
Wow! Not only was he a great musician but all a very thoughtful and intelligent dude. Truly a loss to humanity.
who is next?
a trick : you can watch series on Kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Bennett Dylan Yup, I have been watching on Flixzone} for since december myself :)
If you read his lyrics, it was extremely obvious how intelligent he was. Alot of people still don't truly appreciate how eloquent his writing was.

Chris's music to our ears was the best gift this world will ever receive. May he rest in peace.
Fucking Jerry fucking a jerry
His eyes looks so emotional
Awsome interview of the Legend!!! RIP Chris

excellent interview
"Scene" is such a lovely word. I like it.
watching this makes it even harder to believe Chris took his own life...

Thank you cornell
We need a Chris Cornell movie, question is though, who would play him? I wish Susan would put a movie out about their love and marriage.
I absolutely love this man!! Real to the core!!
so strange looking back, when you attended these shows, you would see the same people and even big stars now, you would give a ride home.
This man was so gorgeous! Long hair, short hair didn’t matter!
RIP Chris

Yessssssssssss sssssssssssssss!
@@jondubb35 The U-men and Skin Yard as well. Soundgarden was hanging around and inspired by those pionneers.
He was on the right meds right here. Mind is calm and stable. No rambling. Clear and complete thoughts. 💙
Don't speculate, just appreciate.

I’m really surprised Chris and Kurt weren’t closer friends. They came from the same artistic circles
So without Meat Puppets there may be no Soundgarden. Another notch on the Meat Puppets belt of greatness
2:57 is all ok Chris, i did immediately liked SOUNDGARDEN on my first hearing
Imagine this man walking down the street..I will bet that every single woman would turn there head as he walked by....
And a few married ones😉
some dudes too
Fucking sharp man that
Chris was fucking awesome
Seriously who thumbs down this ?? Holy shit really!!
His audioslave era… he really had a salvidore dali stach” lol
