    Thanks for the review! Very happy with my Network (version 1) but even more pleased with the Bridge II + Topping D70s in my second setup 👍👍

    Thanks for this video. I'm wondering though why there was no comparison to the Bluesound Node that you are also pretty familiar with?

    • @TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel
      @TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s in a different class

      I was wondering about this as well, it's only about 55%/400€ more expensive. Is it "50%" better or a night and day difference? "A different class" would suggest the latter, good to know as it might be worth an upgrade in such case. Or prove the better buy for those who are cross shopping a streamer/dac for around 1000€.

      There is no absolute truth. It depends on how you value money, how good your stereo is and so on. Watch th-cam.com/video/EykkzxUstL4/w-d-xo.html

      @@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel You are absolutely right Hans, and it was not my intention to be insensitive about the value of money. I apologize to any who read my comment and took offense.
      I appreciated the video you linked.
      It’s been a long journey, the room is now treated, and my system is now so good and well set up that I got an appreciable upgrade in clarity by placing my Node on a small cutting board with moongel underneath (thanx for the tip). Also, I really love how it sounds. My whole body reacts to the music when it’s good, making me think I have some very good synergy going on. Or at least for classical which I listen to mostly (it used to be metal, what happened….).
      If I interpreted your video ”What is the best DAC?” correctly, I would likely be able to appreciate a step up in DAC, but I have to find out myself if it’s better or just different. This hit home with me, thank you.
      For anyone interested (in regard to the hunt for synergy), my setup now consists of the following:
      Bluesound Node (n130)
      Denon PMA 1700ne, run in analog mode 2
      Quad S2
      AudioPro Sub Focus, connected via high-level input (it’s a very old sub but it hasn’t exploded yet)
      QED Silver Anniversary XT speaker cables
      Supra DAC-X rca cables
      AudioQuest PowerQuest 2 power supply
      IKEA cutting boards, moongel
      Panels from GIK and t.akustik
      PS. About your note about rather having too little room treatment than too much, I fully agree know what you mean.
      Have a great day, and thank you for all the videos!

    Thank you for uploading this video. I’ve been intrigued by this unit for quite time.
    How does it stack up against Lumin D1 just in sound quality department?
    Thank you for a reply in advance.

    Nice review once again. Thanks for that. The Limetree is in a different class than the Node. But what about Node + sBooster upgrade (or PD Creative) versus Limetree with stock SMPS? In this case price is comparable. Which has the edge do you think? Thanks.

      Good call! But I don't dare to conclusively answer that since I can't put them side to side. On the other hand, I think both will bring you listening pleasure even is they would differ 10% in sound quality.

    I first watched your review for the Limetree Bridge since I was looking for a replacement for Allo Digione Player. After that also got enthusiastic about the Limetree Network II player, which received many very positive reviews.
    That initiated some doubts: I use the Allo in combination with Metrum Musette DAC and very happy with it. But time has not stood still and I am wondering if the DAC part in the ultramodern Network II is comparable with my Musette. Simply put: should I go for the Bridge + Musette or just go the Limetree Network player II? Thanks for your fantastic videos and help!

      I watched almost all of them. Is it that a seperate DAC is always better? Or have I missed something? Your answer would be highly appreciated as I really do not know what to do...@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel

      I know of no deck that can play sacd and send that digital signal to an external DAC.

    I may be using the wrong terminology here but I though the sound was a little bit on the thin side perhaps? Lacked a little bit of that fullness/body? While as you say imaging was very satisfying. What do you think Hans? Love your channel btw!

      A stereo chain is as strong as the weakest link, maybe one re more ‘links’ are weaker than the Lindemann

    This is a great device , but there’s one thing it won’t do and that is play downloaded aiff files from Qobuz and that is because they are .aif files so if you have a lot of them as I do you’d better prepare yourself for doing file conversions.

    • @TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel
      @TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know what went wrong on your side but it does play AIFF.

    • @normally624
      @normally624 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Hans , yes you are right it does play aiff files , and it plays those files from High Res Audio and HD Tracks but it won’t play files from Qobuz because they are .aif files and if I try and play one the Limetree gets locked into trying to play it and if you’re not quick the only way out is by powering off. I’ve notified Lindemann , I think they’re working on it , I purchased this in August ‘22 . I’ve now commenced file conversion to aiff which is not hard but sometimes artwork is a pain in the proverbial .

    • @normally624
      @normally624 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry slight mistake ProStudioMasters , not HighResAudio don’t think do they AIFF.
