Jan Bartlema & HET CONSORT - ALAMANDA for guitar solo and Mandolin Orchestra by ANNETTE KRUISBRINK

The "Alamanda" by the Dutch composer Annette Kruisbrink is a composition for guitar solo and mandolin orchestra. The work is based on French medieval songs and shows, in three successive parts, a dialogue between the guitar soloist and the orchestra. It was composed in 2014 and premiered in the Netherlands on the 11th of February, '23, in the Reuland-Concert hall of the ArtEZ University of the Arts in Zwolle (NL) at one of the concerts during the 'Kruisbrink 65 Festival 2023'. This was done by the same soloist and orchestra, the Dutch guitarist Jan Bartlema and Het CONSORT conducted by Alex Timmerman.
This video was recorded in March, 2023, in the Mennonite Church in Steenwijk (NL) and made possible by Annette Kruisbrink, as the composer of this beautiful work entitle ALAMANDA for guitar and mandolin orchestra, Jan Bartlema as the guitar soloist, and by the members of the Dutch Mandolin Chambers Orchestra THE CONSORT.

A terrific video of Annette Kruisbrink’s wonderfully atmospheric ‘Alamanda.’ Soloist Jan Bartlema gives a powerful and impassioned performance. Great work, as usual, from Alex Timmerman, and the top-notch Het Consort.

Where would one get such Roman-style long plectrums like Mr. DeGrebber uses? I searched a lot... seems only some very specially made very expensive ones, and only USA, exist... I'd like to try one ;)
