      @@lisadsouza5061 For now. Countries are moving away from an unreliable partner which will lower the US's ability to stay on top. Less trade = less availability = higher consumer prices

    but you have to challenge what trump says!! nobody takes advantage! check the trade agreements : you can impose tariff on something but allow other goods thru for free or even for better terms for the exporter, so do your job/l challenge everything trump says always.

      Actually global trade does look after the interests of Americans. It keeps prices down. For example, the average Chinese factory worker makes $800 - $1000 per month with no benefits. Bringing that on shore would mean higher wages, benefits, new manufacturing plants, new distribution, new product sourcing, admin staff and the list goes on. The business owners want to make back their investments in this as soon as possible. This would mean price increases to cover costs. Most oil companies don't like the drill baby drill idea because it will cost too much to build everything out. It takes decades to build out what is already in place internationally.
