My E38 Restoration - Episode 7: Engine Finished and looking Factory Fresh!

Hello!
so this is finally the final episode on the engine restoration/refresh, where i am putting everything together with new/restored/cleaned parts, and the result is absolutely fantastic, i am really happy with how it turned out, and even more happy with how the engine runs now, its unbelievably smooth, i honestly cannot tell if the engine is running or not, if i am sitting in the car, this is the biggest difference for me from how it was before and now. And that was actually the goal, to get it to run like this.
I have to thank my buddy Boris once again for all the help on the injectors, and his buddy Matt, who was able to clean and measure and check them properly, and sent me a 100% perfect set. It really shows, they are way quieter now than before.
So thank you for watching, and see you in the next episode (which will be M340i content). The E38 is meanwhile moving on the lift, and i am starting on the underside, with front axle overhaul.

thank you very much! it was silver permanent marker, i believe alcohol based, like paint in a pen.. name was alteco paint marker ;-)

I have 2001 BMW 740iL. I want to restore it, just like you you have done. Can you help mwE get started, As, Like what should I do first. Seems like a heavy task.

I didnt finish yet, there is loads of work to do :-) but you can start with whatever you want, i started with trunk, because first i needed to fix the lock and battery.. then the engine and now suspension
