trend following > for uptrend - first crossover then price should touch 50ma and then a signal in cci for entry. but for downtrend -- first price touch 50 ma and then crossover then signal in cci for entry. am i right?

Sir, with due respect, today's BankNifty never respected the ideology which you have shared. The crossover has occurred at 11:10am and CCI was in oversold zone continuously and the indice kept going up. Almost till 2:15pm the oversold zone hardly retraced. Since you've posted this video, 4 hrs ago today, i wanted to bring this to your attention. Help me with what im missing here, please

That’s a good question, all type of oscillators show overbought zone at uptrend and oversold zone at downtrend. But what one misses is indicators like RSI, CCI etc can remain in overbought zone or oversold zone for prolonged period of time when trend is established. So those times our entry will be at a higher level when pull back happens towards moving average, these are the times our entry points wil be relatively higher, we need to accept that, that’s the disadvantage we have when we wait for pull backs, but it’s also an advantage during reversals since our entry points will be at a better place than normal entry points.
