The difference is that China is the largest producer of a lot of things and at cheap price, China is the largest exporter to even India. So thus it's impossible for a nation to not trade with China.

Indian Textiles are very good ,India exports textiles to American, European countries and to Australia. India also exports Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals to many countries. Why can't Russia buy all these from India if they buy these from China ? They buy Chinese goods which are not cheaper in Price than that of Indian goods. Because Russia has not given Market access to India yet. That's the reason. Why Russia doesn't let India have access to Russian market ??

We should be worried as the Indian rupees Russia have accumulated although of no immediate use, has not lost its value, but the Russian rubles we have accumulated lost half of its value.
Russian rubles are combined with their Oil, gas and all kinds of natural resources, So ruble will always has its value. While Indias rupee doesn't combine with anything valuable that is recognized by the global market, So whose currency has real value and whose not?
Exchange value of Rouble in terms of Japanese currency is the same now, Rupee went down significantly in recent months. we should be worried about Rupees, not Rubles.They have gold, which is the basis for the BRICS currency.
