@@NguyenQuang-tm3ou Depends how you watch it. I'm trying to pause and solve it by myself first so it's very helpful to compare with what JJ is saying and with the actual play after. I definitely don't need old farts mumbling about their last fishing trip like it was 20 years ago.
As an instructor I feel every student can learn a lot from the top players in the world. When you open your game an your mind to to what these players do. Average players with training can improve their games No doubt. But even if your not taking lessons, you can raise your game also by watching the greatest players in the world.
Sir, I absolutely agree. I've recently become completely obsessed with billiards and have been watching these guys play and I truly believe simply watching the best of the best even adds to your game on a subconscious level because you pick up on the most intricate details!
@@theabhorrentchef7226 I am glad you are watching. I feel you need to seek out a professional instructor. All the top professionals have instructors they work with. You can't see or fix the little things wrong with your stroke and game. I am sure a quality instructor can help you take your game to the next level. Hope this helps. Johnny Henson Professor Pool
Big fan of this announcing crew. Both guys are excellent and feed off one another very well. Jeremy Jones and Strickland are superb analyst and really give great insight. Appleton was just not sharp at all in this match.
I feel like Styer has as good of a break if not better than SVB. Just my opinion. They're both leagues above other professional pool players when it comes to crushing the rack.
While Tyler showed good shot making abilities he had very poor speed control on many shots leading him to rely on that excellent clutch shot making ability. He'd have had a much easier game if he controlled his ball speed.
Great shooting from the players. Commentary was kinda too much for me. I do realize that trying to predict shot selection is difficult. Overall great stuff.
You guys talking about how Tyler is shooting especially when he won the fourth game. He’s literally playing perfect and you’re talking about shots like you’re hitting the ball better than him. Please stay in your seat and shut your mouth maybe talk half of the game
All due respect to Darren and the opinion of the BEST commentary in the business (Jeremy Jones) but Shane is the best 8 ball player I have ever seen. IMHO. Taking NOTHING from Darren (even at his best).
You can't stay young forever. If Appleton wants to play, just let him play. Efren is older and still playing. I'm not as good as when I played Mosconi at his prime but I still have fun playing 9 ball 7 days a week.
Well, it's not like he's getting fast track to these tournaments, he has to win something for you to see his matches and as long as he's performing, it's his business when to retire.
Jeremy Jones' commentary is like a free Master Class in pool terminology and strategy. I love it.
It’s annoying to me,old man keep had to reminds everyone he knows more about pool

I agree. JJ is a teacher. All of his videos or matches he does commentary on are opportunities to learn. Unless you know everything like some people 😂

Indeed. I can say that from experience
@@matiasvf2520 thanks for the comment. Johnny Henson
Tyler’s mechanics are so disciplined . Good commentary JJ as usual.
Thanks for the matches
Gg bro
He really told his opponent to sit back relax and enjoy😂
The symmetrically synchronous ball placement and pre-stroke routine at 1:14 :D
Holy shit lol
Lol I was just going to comment this and decided to see whether someone else spotted it too. Eerily creepy mirroring!
A key to the ball colours and numbers would be useful, some of us still use the old scheme.
Commentary was Awesome!!! Looked like Darren was way off and Tyler was killin it!!!!!
Commentary really knows how to strategize I love how they think and speak spectacular match 💯💯💥👌👏🙌

I play pool almost everyday I love the sport
Thank you for watching the two-in-one master clinic featuring Jeremy Jones' how-to for commentating and Tyler Styer's how-to-break/play 8-ball.
I absolutely loved the commentary on this match. Thank you.
My compliments to these commentators. they are not constantly yakking.
What happens if the 8-ball is sunk on the break?
A slow backswing is taught.
25:45 “black swing “ 😂
Appleton has got to work on his breaking. Dismal. Even recently still. Don’t know what the deal is but he’s going to have to make corrections.
I feel like Styer has as good of a break if not better than SVB. Just my opinion. They're both leagues above other professional pool players when it comes to crushing the rack.
Tyler is getting so much better. He’s a beast now

Where is the HIGH-LEVEL ???
Well controlled Tyler.
Great shooting from the players. Commentary was kinda too much for me. I do realize that trying to predict shot selection is difficult. Overall great stuff.
Nobody using a breaker cue?
Wonder why your channel is assailed by channel hackers.
very good
Take a shot every time Jeremy Jones said “weeelll”
I play on a 4 1/4 inch pocket slow table in a car shop that moist all the time. It gets hard to play some days
You can warm up the table by putting heating cable under the slate. That way there will be no moisture in the cloth and it will be way faster
Great Commentary

I'm surprised to read so many positive comments about the commentary. It's pretty LOW-LEVEL in comparison to snooker commentary.
Commentator is very knowledgeable
All due respect to Darren and the opinion of the BEST commentary in the business (Jeremy Jones) but Shane is the best 8 ball player I have ever seen. IMHO. Taking NOTHING from Darren (even at his best).
Mason Koch, is pronounced ‘Cook’
Commentator sounds just like Dax Shepard😆
der Styer verhaut ja jede Stellung....zumindest in den ersten beiden Spielen
46:20 Appleton gets to shoot! 48:50 never mind…
Just to speed things up, skip the racks!
Yo I’m high as balls rn Tyler should be nicknamed Tyler the creator haha
4:50 make the 1, draw, break out the 2
Bella stecca
Man he was in stroke!
Takes so long before they shoot
Bad play on that first rack, by both players. The stripes should have been the choice for a fairly easy runout. Bad choices throughout this match.
You can tell they don't play much 8-ball. Watch Shane or Corey to learn the correct patterns.
25:48
Nobody gives tyler credit......
With those sleeves, Tyler should get a clothing company to incorporate a cue glove into a compression shirt and sponsor him.
Worse idea I’ve ever heard of. Lmao.
The intro was cringe asf
Agreed
Fuck the wide angle shit....
I quit
Sorry to say but Darren Appleton should retire , or at least, take a break! He is nowhere near his best form!
You can't stay young forever. If Appleton wants to play, just let him play. Efren is older and still playing. I'm not as good as when I played Mosconi at his prime but I still have fun playing 9 ball 7 days a week.
William McVeigh huh?
I am 72 and still play (not professionally, of course!).

It takes a certain type of provocateur to try to politicize the commentary for a cue sports match. And it doesn't endear me to their party.
Appleton is so nooooop hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
