Yes Maresca has come from the Championship but there cant be any leniency on that. At this point if you take the Chelsea job its because you're stepping up to say you're capable of handling one of the highest pressure jobs going. For Maresca this season it is top 4 or bust.
With Palmer, Chelsea will be on 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. I wouldn't read much into the results since Poch couldn't also do much without Palmer. But the defense is alarming maybe because the players are still gaining confidence in the system.

We (fans) watch almost all the matches and we know when we have a team that can compete with time. Poch finished 8th and it can be argued that a lot of the good performances in the last 6-8matches might be down to teams already thinking of holidays. Most league positions were set. Enzo’s team played better than most teams except Celtic and if they were clinical enough, it would have been a different story.
