I bought my Plaid in May of 2024 and the horn is back in the middle. Maybe this one isnt a 2024. I also have the new seats. The seats started shipping in may so i guess the horn was returned as well around that time. But im also in the U.S . .

All 2024 S's have the airbag horn. The one you're testing is 2022 to 2023 (not 2021 since the badge was different and said PLAID instead of the graphic).

I find it incredible that a company that only makes 4 cars (ignore cyber truck) that they decided there is NO worth in making a right hand drive version of S and X. Simply staggering. UK, Australia, Japan, India Thailand. Great review though, even though no one will actually drive one on the uk.
On the motorway you should use the autopilot, great feature & much smoother compared to other car manufacturers, can drive hours on end feeling like you're being driven

The issue is Tesla did not make a right hand drive version, so depreciation of this car will be pretty severe in the UK as fewer people will want to drive a left hand car over here. My wife and I were planning to upgrade our model S performance to this car but she won’t drive a left hand drive car. A couple of my Tesla buddies also cancelled their orders for the same reason. It’s a real shame. BTW did Tesla PIN lock you in chill mode ?
Bro get into a AMG GT63SE Perf 4dr. Got one on order to replace my e53 coupe. Performance is mind blowing, 0-60 in 2.6 on an ideal conditions day. Not as fast as the plaid but insane for an ICE.
i find it kinda wierd that the ai recorder thing is so big. I preordered the limitless pin a while back and it does similar stuff, records what you say (i want to use it to remember peoples names) and it clips magnetically to your shirt. Way smaller and more convenient imo. Cant wait till we get ar glasses!
If I ever bother to buy a car again (highly unlikely as I love public transport in Tokyo), I wouldn’t want a huge info screen. It’s distracting. All I need is basic information. I don’t need a constantly scrolling map either. Simply show projected arrows on the windscreen (in combination with speech assistance if needed). Personally, I think all the set-up controls etc. could be put on a smartphone app. The rest could be voice-activated.

It’s obviously personal preference, but I tried the Model S and found it a bit too large for my liking. The Model 3 that I own is more nimble. The new M3 is also more quiet than the Model S. Something I think is important.

No mention of autonomous cruise control when you were on the motorway etc. My EQS drives itself on the motorway so I would have been really interested to know how much the model S puts the EQS to shame in that respect in the UK. Hey! Thank you so much for watching and the feedback :)) appreciate. Yes so… I did use it but I don’t get on with it. Probably user error (me) but partly because I haven’t had anyone show me but here is the experience I had… Turning on the cruise was fine and it would follow the car in front but it wasn’t steering. Then I managed to engage the steering pilot and it was steering. However anytime I wanted to add my input to correct a little it would then disengage it all. When I didn’t correct it it would tell me to put my hands on the wheel. Got a “strike” and a warning that if I did it 4 more times I would lose the FSD capabilities. Again I’m sure it was me doing something wrong so I left it out. I have driving assistance in my GLC and I find it more intuitive 😉
The wind noise seems very loud in your interior video when driving? I went with an E-Tron myself, sacrificing some of the Tesla 'Performance' for the extra comfort and refinement it brings.
I think the mic is contributing to it but it was average… not the best but by no means bad either. That’s probably a logical choice though :) e trons look pretty nice
@ there’s a camera button where the horn used to be. Most of the original yokes were changed out in Europe. The haptic feedback seems to have been improved too.
These cars along with the likes of Taycans and big Beemers will only ever get bought as a company car fiddle in the UK. Then they depreciate like a stone on the 2nd hand car market as canny buyers know the savings the original buyer made initially. The the media says says "2nd hand EV prices are crashing - err no, normalising."
You're not wrong. Just not a topic I want to bring to reviews. Im more interested in the product as it will remain the case 5+ years from now. Whereas the market is always changing so god knows what the landscape will look like in 5 years time. Thanks for watching :)

I think it’s a case of ROI. As in, they know they’re never going to sell enough volume to justify the development of a RHD for the UK market. (I’m assuming here)

How they can make a model 3 in America and sell it for 30,000 USD but can’t get a S to the Uk for less than it’s ridiculous cost never made any sense to me. You can buy a BMW M5 for less than a model S. Makes no sense at all. The M5 is a better car all around.

My earlier 2024 S Plaid has the airbag horn. I got mine the first week they released the 2024 S which was early February.

The card one works well for me as it’s in my ridge wallet along with my license and bank cards. So it doesn’t feel like I’m carrying anything extra
