Interesting video. Now it is day 3 of my bass guitar player learns guitar. I will check my thumb. I played some riffs today. Dream Warrior. The last 3 days I played also the spider in some variations. I can do it better than scales. And I have to take care of my grip of the left hand, that I am near the right fret, not not to the left. I made a playlist with songs I like for learning riffs and songs. One of my favorites are Dream Warrior from Dokken, Hold on and the only one. Nice melodies. Learning bendings. I am a little bit of sorrow of my bass technique. I am very fast, but pick not every not. It is more a arpeggiated playing. Now your ships are main riff will failed at the moment. Deja Vu Intro riff I could much better. I did not expect to be the fastest, but there so many cool songs and riffs from Ossy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Dokken that will make me happy to play. What not goes at the moment is overtones with plec. I can play it really good on bass. This is some thing to learn later. I will the Nirvana riff and then I practiced enough for today. I prefer 5-20 min. and pause. Tomorrow I am at home office and my guitar amp comes from Thomann ;-)
I had some other cool riffs too, today. Still of the night bow part and eye of the tiger. Oh, I would check my thumb, but played some riffs and forget it ;-)
used to always skip over this one when i was a kid thinking it was too gay cheesy not metal but now im 33 and finally sat down and listened to it. god damn is that solo awesome and the chorus is catchy as fuck what a sleeper! 3:00-3:50 god damn
The riff just before the first versus at 0:51 is an absolute steal from the Bon Jovi song called You Give Love A Bad Name and the riff belongs to the Guitar God Richie Sambora...
