@@javi5810 That's not alot, considering he uses an crunch amp with max distortion and a cranked overdrive. Compare that to low gain on a metal amplifier with an overdrive that only has the level cranked. The crunch amp will still have a clean characteristic within the distortion.
This was the 1st song of the album played on the radio, I knew who it was immediately and being a lead guitarist, knew it was going to change everything, and it did.

[shaking head no] He IS fast, I'll give him that... but there's no way this wasn't sped up in the studio... my proof is that he's somewhere between B & Bb (B-Flat). & It's so *EXTREMELY* unusual, unorthodox, and unlikely that he'd just happened to be tuned about a quarter-step in either direction (sharp OR flat), simultaneously on every string that it would never be the case...I'll admit that they aren't speeding it _much_ ...but they _are_ speeding it up a very subtle amount & it's needless...even WITHOUT speeding it up, it'd still be faster than anyone's ever even heard guitar played before...some parts of it ACTUALLY SOUND LIKE A FAST-FORWARDING AUDIO CASSETTE...
+DEM0N He plays it live at this speed, except for when he plays it faster.......(although admittedly it does sound slightly different.) I agree with you though, if it is speed up I fail to see the reason for it, the speed isn't what makes this solo so amazing...it is but a small factor. Although to be honest if it's sped-up I find it far more likely the UPLOADER sped it up as to avoid copyright....as this is not consistent throughout his other material....
i know this is late and u don't care but he might have been out of tune and then tuned his guitar to his E string and then the bass player tuned to him as well, so that's why it could actually be a quarter step in either direction
ΣLECTЯ0N it could have been the persons upload- perhaps the gear they were playing the cassette on is off. Fact: it’s a B they’re starting on, so this would be microtone flat. Which would mean it’s SLOWER than the original recording- Remember this: the eighties were an era of lots of cocaine- Regardless- yngwie is THAT fast. He still has his chops - He happens to be a behemoth of a man, with huge hands and a pretty strong bone structure- those body types tend to play faster for some reason. Think of Stanley Clarke on bass.
If a track isn't right at concert pitch it could be that the tape was sped up or slowed down or it could be the tuning. It is NOT unusual for all the strings to be sharp or flat simultaneously because the instrument will almost always be relatively in tune (or it will sound terrible). But the absolute pitch will depend on what reference note was used for tuning. A half step should only be about a 6% difference in speed. A quarter step even less. I think it would be hard to tell exactly what they did just from listening, especially for a slight difference.
What a F*cking MONSTER on the guitar. Truly one of the greats.
This tune is so HEAVY that it does it with an almost clean guitar tone ( relative to most ).
Yngwie has actually said he’s always had a ton of gain
It's just beacuse of the single coils
This is actually pretty distorted for a stock fender single coil which is what Yngwie used before he had the custom dimarzios

There is a live version of him playing it a long time ago, arguably faster than the studio one :))) but it seems he lost it with his accident ...
