Benki falls is a great place to enjoy during the rainy season. The Benki falls are located near Bilikal Forest, Kodihalli wildlife sanctuary part of Bannerghatta National Park, Karnataka. It is on the border of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Benki falls is also known as Fire falls. Benki in Kannada means fire, and the water flowing here is reddish in colour, hence the name fire falls. The Shimsha river flows down to form the Benki falls.T he nearest landmark is the Bande Muthappa Swamy Temple. Bilikal Forest ( ಬಿಳಿಕಲ್ ಫಾರೆಸ್ಟ್ ) is in Kanakapura Taluk, Ramanagara District, Karnataka. The way to the waterfalls involves a small trek too. This place can be a weekend getaway for Bangaloreans looking for a short drive followed by a short trek. Carry water and eatables as no facilities are available near the falls.
