One other memorable 70's/early 80's candy:
Rothchilds.
Made by Warner-Lambert, Rothchilds was a series of ultra-rich, hockey puck-shaped roll candies, initially available in three varieties-Butterscotch, Creamy Toffee, and Chocolate Toffee (originally "Fruit Jellies").
Their memorable commercial catchphrase: "Not now, I'm right in the middle of a Rothchilds!"
I loved those.
I have eaten all of these candies at one time or another over the years
I'm 59 and remember the television commercials of all of them and I
really liked the Marathon Candy Bar, the Banana Split Taffy, Bar None
and some of the other candy but as always Thanks for the Memories.
💞🍫🍬 🍭🍫💞
I like the way this channel brings me back to my past
Seven Up bars and Marathon bars were quite yummy. It took me 20 minutes to eat a marathon bar.
I loved choco lite and carnation bars
I loved Screaming Yellow Zonkers and doo dads. If you turn the doo dad’s box upside down you get spap oop.
Enjoyed the video! Ding Dongs were amazing when they were sold in aluminum foil back in the 70’s. The cake was moist and the icing was thicker. One of the best snacks of all time!
I remember ALL of these candies...Space Dust was my favorite!
I ate a LOT of candy when I was younger. Not so much now, with the dentures and all.
😉
Pop Rocks!
I loved both of these cereals
I loved Seven Up bars!
I've never heard of these candies with the
exceptions of Bar None & PB Max! I would
of loved the Banana Split candies I'm sure!
I did love Doo Dads & Ding Dongs but they
aren't candies so why are they on the list?
Never knew there was a Twinkies cereal??
Cracker Barrel still sells Wacky Wafers.
don't look at the expiration date.
I remember the Krackel candy bar, preferred the larger red package.
The original King Vitamin cereal was heavenly but the sugar content was later cut in half.
And what about larger pieces of Bazooka Joe bubble gum? Loved the apple flavor! 16:01
Doo dads was my favorite
I was born in Texas 1974 and never heard of a seven up bar. So they wasn't that widely popular. Nope never heard of space dust either. Reggie bar yes. Banana splits yes. Marathon bars yes.
Chcolite i remember being alot like Cadbury Wispas .loved the 7 flavor type bar i remember the ding dongs came wrapped in foil was a big deal that mon could afford a box for a trip to the state fair .
1970's space dust sounds like nose candy.
Candy That's Snorted or injected .😅😅😅
Bring back banana split n ding dongs !!!
POP rocks was a big deal back my days. Uh the memories.
How did Doo Dads get included in a video about candy?
Change in market trends and consumer preferences.. 😅
That's a picture of the 50s lol!
"Shifting consumer preferences" a.k.a "Consumers didn't like it well enough to make a profit."
Doo Dads were sold in boxes
Carnation had evaporated milk, & non-fat dry milk
PB Max came out in the late 80s, not the 70s
Confession..i once did a morbid joke but never told but one person..
A group of missionaries walk into a clearing were canables are chewing on a human leg , the one canable starts to ask a question, the canable eating the leg says " not now im right in the middle of a rothchild"
Lord forgive me for my often morbid sense of humor. Amen
Space Dust What Aliens 👽 are Addicted to.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Clark marathon pixie sticks
Don't remember 99% of these. My parents did not let them. At 71 l guess l missed out. So sad. Not really!!! Probably why we have so many fat people now.
