So looks like they sold the boat because there was an opportunity he had to take. These two fine folks did something most of us can only dream about. It was wonderful to hear their story and I like to wish them well.
Bravo Rick and Debbie, I just stumbled onto this vid, and I see it's a few years old so I don't know if this will help, or if you've already "been there, done that". Try to tie up in the inner harbour in Victoria B.C. on the August long weekend so you can experience the Symphony Splash. I have attended twice by boat and can assure you that it would be an exclamation mark in your life memories. There are several vids on TH-cam from different years for you to check out. I've owned several boats, power and sail, and operated a 30' dulplex steam powered charter boat in Victoria, but living aboard a Nordhavn is only a dream I contemplate.
From their Website, it looks as though Rick went back to work and the boat was put up for sale and has sold. New owners got a great boat at a great price if you ask me. www.nordhavn.com/brokerage/listings/eliana/ www.eliana76.com/Journal/2012/09/14/68-Eliana-s-Final-Post And while none of us ever want to see a good story end, fact is this great couple "had a number of great moments in the sun, on a beautiful boat". Most people on this planet never get a taste of the very good life, in fact they have really no idea what that life really offers, even that it exists. That these two got to "live it" for some period of time should be good enough, back to reality. With luck they get to live the next dream, the one after that and.... Thanks for the story you shared and the best to you both.
I was curious to know more about when you were discussing the larger seas during your time in Mexico. When you say larger swells with waves roughly what size? I understand Nordhavens can take some pretty rough weather.
This is sad - such a nice testimony of jumping in and immersing the lifestyle, and then selling the boat mere months of this interview. He blamed it on business, but we all know it was the wife.
Congrats to you both! How appropriate that your video gets posted on Cinco de Mayo since you talk about your adventures in Mexico. Hope you make it to New England and visit the beautiful coast of Maine someday! Looking forward to your blog updates.
I am only a Nordhavn dreamer, so jealous of you guys but glad you are living the dream, inspires me to hopefully achieve it myself in the future
It is such a pity that I've just discovered this video and Eliana's adventures are over... anyway, it was very enlightening! Thank you
I thought this was very informative. I'm happy for them. Enjoy life.

But they didn`t??? They used two other models before settling for this one and they retired on it as their home?
Love this video. Thanks for sharing your story.
it is a pity they took their youtube videos down, love the blog it is very informative, thank you

Very nice! Great people! I apologize for the hurtful idiotic statements my fellow humans have made! Now you can enjoy the beauty of the world!
