I LOVE how much this show utilizes practical effects! It feels so much more authentic than all those bloated Hollywood CGI-fests. Real effects, real props, real sets, just like it used to be done, none of that "put the actors in motion capture suits and stick them in a big empty greenscreen room" stuff.
It appears as though every Expanse crew member I see interviewed is not only serious about their own work but also seeming genuinely respectful to the other departments involved. Great team work and team spirit all around, I love it!
That scene from season 3 freaked me out and now I know why! It was all physical effects! At the time I thought it was CGI! Now I am even more impressed with the crew pulling it off and to those actors who looked like real dead people! For me the scene that caused me to hold my breath was Naomi in Season 4 out there in space! It was stunning work!
The Expanse content is great. It convinced me to drop it into my queue, a couple weeks ago and already through season 4. Great show and really appreciate the detail in the FX and stunt performances.
I watched season 1 when it first came out and it was hands down the best thing i had seen in years, didn't really like where the 2nd season went though. Should probably check out the newer seasons.
As a huge fan of Expanse since its premier these videos are a blast to watch and the fact Adam is so enthusiastic about it is great. Hope to see more of these in the future!
This is really cool to see how they make weightlessness happen. I honestly only found out about "the Expanse" a month ago and I've already watched every episode of every season. It's probably my favorite show right now and I can't wait to see the next season.
Great Job Adam..i worked on that exact set with an amazing group of Carpenters..I was honoured to be involved with such talent. That was Carl and Jason's build one of about 7 sets in that place.
I've never understood why some feel the need to correct others grammar. This could have been a typo or an unwarranted auto correction, either way why waste the time?

Oh, wow! Wire work is so much fun! I used to do a performance, where I every night had to do a backflip backwards 5m and land on a 3 m high tower. So much fun!
Why the past tense? It has been renewed by Amazon Prime and season 4 has already been released and they're already filming season 5. It IS a great show! 😀
I barely recognized Adam's cameo when watching the show. He was without glasses and in a weird setup, so I had to rewind a few times to make sure it was indeed him.
@3:40 How interesting. I always wondered what happened to the crew of the science vessel that got disassembled in the Atmosphere of Venus. Adam is 'gasping' here, aka they died to instant exposure to space. The gasping part got cut by the looks of it.
The scenes where someone isn't strapped in when someone lights a drive and they get faceplanted into the floor always crack me up. I know it's a clever editing trick but in my head I want to believe an actor just gets dropped on their face lol. It's gonna be really interesting when we're shooting scifi in actual space and all the rigging is no longer needed. he film industry alone is gonna have a field day.
Adam Savage’s Tested just have his twin/clone or some kinda kenny character. Lol like he could have a family that they just keep killing off. Like octopluts
As well done as the wire work is, I'd like to see some scenes in true zero-g a la "Apollo 13." Even rotating the camera 90° or more might sell "on the float" better. Mag boots work on the walls and ceilings too!

I was sick the week of Christmas and binged the whole show after Adams’s cast interview.
I watched season 1 when it first came out and it was hands down the best thing i had seen in years, didn't really like where the 2nd season went though. Should probably check out the newer seasons.
My decade resolution is to be as passionate and overjoyed with everything as Adam is.
