One of the first songs I heard when I first got saved close to 18 years ago. I always come back to this song as a reminder of how my life was before I met Jesus. So greatful for His salvation.
Listening to the song, I was moved to share a testimony of my spiritual experience when I got born again after I prayed the prayer of "justification" and received the "Salvation" in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On that very day of my new birth in my spirit, I was filled by an unusual feeling. I felt that I was "so thirsty" within my being. It was as if I have not drank a water for days, that I so dearly need it more than anything else. The thirst I felt was not physical, because natural water could not retrieve me out of that thirst even a little. But it was a spiritual thirst of a "Living Water", because there was a deep urge in me to read the Word of God, and as I read it my thirst was being filled. It was as if I am drinking a cool of water as I read the Bible. It made me feel so good and refreshed as I read and study the Scriptures. It was as if I was drinking the Word of God. I even understood what I read with clarity of mind and digested it so well. I sensed that the Word I read is being downloaded within me. This thirst remain in me for years, though it gradually subsided when I got enough knowledge and understanding of the Word and Truth. But there is still an amount remain in me, because I always love to read, study, meditate and hear the Word. And so my Bible is always open on my desk, whether I am at home or on board the ship, ready to be read anytime. I hope this testimony of God in me will give some light of understanding concerning the "Living Water" and of being "thirsty" that the Bible says. A life of a child of God is a tree in God's husbandry planted by the rivers of Living Water that flows out of the Throne of God. ( Psalm 1; Revelation 22:1-2 ) John 4:6-14; 6:35; 6:53-56; 7:39-39; Revelation 21:6-7; 22:1-2, 17; Jeremiah 2:11-15; Zechariah 14:5-10; Matthew 5:6; Psalm 42:1-2; Isaiah 44:1-6 To God be the glory! I needed to see this today. I am praying that God continues to give me the tools and the resources to help my daughter. She currently has a speech delay, and it has been such a challenging season for us. But for her especially, my heart hurts whenever I see her struggling to express her needs or wants. This morning I witnessed something that triggered my emotions heavily and all I can do I cry out to God and ask him to guide and protect my baby as she continues to grow through this. My Lord is so mighty and so powerful and I know he will deliver my baby girl from this. Exodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. Please family of believers I am ask that you lift my baby and I up in prayer. That she may be safe and my ppl have mercy and grace and have patience with her. May the stronghold be lifted from her vocal cords and may she speak, and speak, and speak and be able to shout praises to the Lord!!!! In Jesus name. Today I attended a retreat and this song was sang during time of the Holy Communion. The Spirit of God fell upon and I couldn't help the tears down my cheeks. May the Body and Blood our savior Jesus Christ lead us to eternal life. Amen.

I needed to see this today. I am praying that God continues to give me the tools and the resources to help my daughter. She currently has a speech delay, and it has been such a challenging season for us. But for her especially, my heart hurts whenever I see her struggling to express her needs or wants. This morning I witnessed something that triggered my emotions heavily and all I can do I cry out to God and ask him to guide and protect my baby as she continues to grow through this. My Lord is so mighty and so powerful and I know he will deliver my baby girl from this. Exodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
Please family of believers I am ask that you lift my baby and I up in prayer. That she may be safe and my ppl have mercy and grace and have patience with her. May the stronghold be lifted from her vocal cords and may she speak, and speak, and speak and be able to shout praises to the Lord!!!! In Jesus name. My son at the age of 32 went to be with Our Lord. He died of incurable cancer and left 5 young daughters. He became a believer on February 6, 1999 and left this world on February 6, 2002. I learned from him that God does not give dying grace on a non dying day. He will give the grace you need when you need it. We used to sing this song in our school assembly every morning before classes would start. Although we are a Hindu majority country, we have all kinds of religious and devotional songs to connect with God in our own ways. Didn't think of it much back then, but this is a very beautiful prayer.

We used to sing this hymn in our Christian Union meetings at my secondary school. The hymn really does bring a tear to my eye because whilst i was at that school our beloved religious studies teacher lost her battle against cancer. This is for you Mrs Gray xx

I love it when we sing this song a capella at our church!I Love singing it.Sometimes during my day I would start singing it out of the blue..then just recently while in a date that especial someone started singing the lyrics...He and I are both Believers and we have conversations about our Bible..But when he started singing this song 🎵 I knew that was especial. Definitely my favorite hymn. Congregation sang this at my Mom's funeral service, May, 2002. She died on the same day of the month as my father did in 1981.
