Old school tequila that’s priced well and fairly easy to find. This groups only concern is making good quality tequila just like they have done for decades.

I use agave syrup
Same but I was out.
Looks good bro! 🍻
Thanks
No el Tesoro?
Last time I was in the Mayan Riviera I asked the bartender for a batanga and he had no idea lol Maybe i should have tried charro negro
Amatitena. your review is spot on. Just took a chance on the Blanco. Slight smokiness, amazing. Top ten for me.
Was bummed to miss out on it! Sold out fast!
When you look to the side, who are you questioning? Sometimes I think you're in a room alone....
I’m always alone haha.
Mexico libre?
Love the Content Doug!!!
Yeah, I have seen two shorts and music, drinks, and the production slaps!
Its not a batanga because you didn’t stir it with the knife you cut lime with 😂😂
I think you were right with the batanga
Happy Tequila Day to you as well, Doug! 🍋🟩🧂🍾. That music is gonna make someone cry, lol!
Damn I was one day early with my celebration Guess I will have to do it over today lol
Time to rally haha
Thanks, Doug. We will celebrate this evening.
Enjoy
I'm new to the sipping game. I bought a few mini bottles. Casamigos carmel color (meh) Patron Silver (smooth and nice) 375ml of 1800 Blanco (harsh finish and peppery (meh) and Lunazul Blanco (smooth, not as good as Patron. Influenced by that magazine in supermarket Ultimate Guide to Tequila. Geared to the Hipster's.Did my own research so not to go down the Celeb drink hole. I tried the Casamigos w/o knowing it was George C product and Patron as mentioned. I'll go with clear and 100%, no mixto for me.
Hey Doug, What about Kah Repo? Any thoughts? !one of my regulars lol
Haven’t had it. I’ve heard older stuff was ok. I think newer is sweeter.
Padre Repo 💯🚀🚀❣️ my personal fave. Never forget the first time I tasted it, it was like a grand slam of a bite. I actually work for Total Wine Inc., work overnights full time in the Tequila department and know the sales and movement of brands. I actual have tried so far 35+ tequilas. Following you 💯nice job 🍸🍸🕺🎶🚀🚀
Your shorts are incredible tequila snapshots. I’ve been catching up on all you older podcasts and I am learning so much about agave spirits. You do a tremendous job of teaching people like me about the spirits that we love.
Appreciate it. Thank you
😂😂😂😂 sorry gringo 😂😂😂
Hey and how I make the tequila old fashion🤔
Lost me at "tequila" 😂
ight I’ll come over this weekend, we can try em together
Two fingers 🤞
Amazing Work! Learned a lot by watching this thank you
Just paid $80 for the Blanco. One of my favorites but there's a limit.
So basically tequilla pineapple)
Keep em coming...
If you don't have rum, you can also substitute Jack Daniels or Jim Beam
Mexican Coke is good but I prefer Colombian
They have to have that extra sticker on them, that is how you can tell.
I don't understand why Coke won't just put the sugar back in. People prefer it. They should just do it.
Corn subsidies
Nah fuck that Coke Zero all the way
Remember when they cane out with the "throwback" soda? It didn't last long, mt dew throwback tasted awful. Love the Mexican coke though
A COKE... WITH NO FIZZ??! 🤨 I'LL PASS
The pour had 3 cuts to save time. Def had fizz 😂
This was my first quality anejo and my first Siete Leguas. You can't go wrong. Need to try the other expressions. Solid choice.
A great lineup. I love the repo as well.
I’ve heard that “Mexican coke” is only produced for the US. People in Mexico drink regular coke. 😂
Sounds about right.
Yeah they just call it coke because that's what it is. Coke. It's not like they are importing it from America to say it's American Coke. We call it Mexican Coke because it has been imported from Mexico. He explains the difference in the video being the sugar used
@@jakefrost7108 my point is the coke people drink in Mexico has high fructose corn syrup, not cane sugar
@@jasonhestand source?
@@jasonhestandnot true
It's definitely a must-have lineup of Tequila. Every expression is delicious, price point is a bonus 😋
No stores stock these in Indiana. Whomp whomp.
ok... yea these are definitely my top 4 right now after trying more Cascahuin! 😅
The frame rate of my pc when a try to run a last gen game:
Both are delicious. Quite surprised and easy to drink.
Yup
Fortaleza Still Strength is a Quality Product but the flavor profile is not what my palate craves and for this reason it is a Hard PASS but Contrarely---The OCHO PUNTAS 2021 "101" is the Finest Expression of Tequila that I have EVER tasted---Absolutely AMAZING!
I am with you; I sip it straight, room temperature. But it's brutally hot. Even ate a few ice cubes to cool down. And now that I want a drink, I'm wondering if I should make a cocktail, and I hate sweetened drinks. 😅
When does the interview drop?
We’ll be releasing clips as it gets closer to the new General gorostieta release.
Beautiful presentation. I am a global marketer and bravo for this video 👏👏👏
Appreciate it Mike. The brand has a beautiful story to tell.
It's not designed to be top shelf sipping tequila ...it's margarita tequila 100%de agave. If you want to spend over $60.00 go for El Tesoro for quality tequila. You should know lower cost means lower quality . There is no secret here. Hornitos is fine margarita tequila
False. Multiple additive free tequilas that are much cheaper than $60 and far better than Hornitos. Arette, Suerte, cascahuin, el Tequileno round bottle repo, I’d even pick their mixto blanco over hornitos, tres agaves and so on. By your assumption, higher cost means higher quality which is most often far from the truth.
@@iamdougprice i cant get any of them you named where i live.
I do love the story of Fortaleza and I found out a cool fun fact about the brand. It was originally named Los Abuelos as a way for Guillermo Sauza to honor his ancestors Tequila making legacy. But when it came to America they ran into a copyright issue with a Panamanian Rum brand that owned the rights to the name Abuelo. So Guillermo decided to use the name Fortaleza after the family distillery named La Fortaleza. But it gets better, if you remove the label from the bottle you’ll find the Los Abuelos logo etched out in the glass where the label was. And Los Abuelos is still the brand name used in Mexico today.
Yup a great brand. Gs son Billy, actually went to school with a family member from Ron Abuelo. Small world.
Wow! I think I counted a couple of dozen steps and handed off to 5 or more Glassmiths. That's just the bottle; love to see how the cork tops are created too. Very nice.
So much work goes into the bottle. Truly special.
all 4 amazing! I would make it a top 10 list and add Primo, Terrlata, el tesoro, Lagrimas plata, Volcan, and siete leguas DECADAS. may be the best blanco ever :)
I was at The distillery and met the daughter and the father in March and what an amazing place! The tequila is top notch and their family is even more amazing
Great family for sure
Interesting sticker
fresh OJ is such an underrated addition to a margarita. even WITH triple sec or orange liqueur just a splash/float livens the hell out of any marg variant, good stuff this sounds delicious
