As an Black American, I’m still trying to pick up UK slang. It has deeper carribean roots than I expected, it’s a pleasant surprise. Things are generally easier to comprehend given the context clues, outside of the sensor words. I need a video on UK slang. Also, it’s nice to see how versatile UK gangster rap (and rap I’m general is). The rappers are, generally, much more fundamentally sound than their US counterparts. Over here, it’s almost as if people use gangster rap as an excuse to not know how to implement different styles, punch lines, master wordplay, actually being able to freestyle, etc. Big ups to the UK for being more true to Hip Hop culture than the US is right now.
Big up you man from the states. The UK is a big melting pot. Europe in general. We are still closely attached to our African/Mediterranean/Caribbean roots. Therefor our slang consists out of multiple ethnic backgrounds. The same way Hispanics incorporate Latin in to their music.
100% agree UK rap has things to prove since Americans are the originators, so you find that they actually mostly all have bars. Like low key I started enjoying more UK rap as new age rappers in the USA sounds so similar lately
I saw him at Rolling Loud in Toronto, Canada and people were chanting for him to play Doja. It was amazing and the vibes were immaculate. Can’t wait for him to come to Toronto again.

This kid is clever and a marketing whiz, I saw this vid the first time and I automatically went to Apple Music and started listening to his catalogue just off the strength of him breaking down UK slang. I enjoy tons of British content and have picked up the slang over the years. Not an expert but way more than my fellow countrymen. If the context doesn't help narrow down the meaning then a quick google search works just fine. I have gaming friends from across the pond and we spend a lot of time sharing slang/laughing at each other.

i think he meant westside as in westside referring to usa, Westend is referring to London as in the Leakers are from the Westside meaning LA and Central Cee is from Sheperds Bush which is in the west of London that's why he said westside to the westend
LA is situated in the west coast (colloquially referred to as west side) of the US. West end is west london. Regardless of whether his terminology is correct, it's not hard to understand what he's trying to say lol

UK street slang is heavily influenced by Jamaica since the Windrush era. Even non caribbeans embraced music and lingo
