Thank you to those who helped this youth center become a reality@!!
Awesome! We need those in every town in the state.
We need so many more centers like this and for adults too!! Behavioral and substance abuse treatment programs are what's gonna get people off the streets or at least build a capacity to enforce laws.
Good luck with that wish everyone says this is a poor state they won’t give section 8 to single parents who are raising kids with special needs and disabilities
@@user-kd5ig3vc3s The state does its best with what its got but yeah it could be a lot better.
We know that the evidence based solutions for addiction include:
Safe and secure housing
Elimination of food insecurity
Supportive, validating relationships
Mental health support
Access to health care
**and THEN** begin to detox and support long term sobriety
Requiring treatment before housing, before food, before relationships, before validation of the struggle, guarantees failure.
And sobriety is a life long journey.... it's easier to prevent.
YES! Some sort of universal safety net would be a great start. This is why I love New Mexico, moved here as soon as I was 18: Es la cultura aqui.
The city wants to charge the parents if their kid gets a hold of their gun. Do the same with this, make the parents accountable instead of the taxpayer like always.
You don't have a family do you?
That's not even equivalent, but yeah there's probably some investigation worthy for parents
Where is this at ? In a far remote place like the homless shelter for Albuquerque?
