Good evening John, Great video! Enjoyed watching your enjoyment of splitting wood by hand. As a retired fella I quite enjoy the process of doing a job vs quickly getting it done, Also ,We received your really nice letter and your topnotch sticker 👍 Thanks so much John! Really appreciate it!! Have a great weekend, Ben 🪵🪓🔥🌞😎👍🍻
Good morning John, as like yourself I like using the splitter and manually splitting wood with an axe. Those are real nice axes that you have. I cleaned up my garage yesterday and found 5 axe heads so I plan to make handles for each of them myself. The speed of splitting wood is relative to the demand. If the demand and volume increases you upgrade the equipment accordingly. I've been making kindling over the past few days, now that's slow if you want to see slow. Enjoy the therapeutic wood splitting!
Spot on, Paul!!! I definitely feel like I get a good workout with that 6 pounder. But I still think I'm way behind you after watching you on the ice a couple of months ago!
Wow John you have that splitter decked out very nice. I cannot split wood much anymore because of my back injury so using a splitter gives one the power of hydraulics at your fingertips. Be safe my friend. ♥️👍
Great video John. I sure like splitting wood with an axe. But I don’t seem to get to it very often now. Great exercise and I found it great for my back. Very nice axes you have there. Mine is just a store bought 6 lb splitting maul. I have in the past split left handed. I am right handed. I got to be able to do that sorta all right. I figured it would be good to change the muscles around that do the swinging. I’m not so good at it now. It takes some practice. Have a great day and thanks again for the sticker 👋👋👍🏻🪵🪓🔥
Well said Mr. John...I must agree, the TIMBERPILOT is a fine tool that must be experienced, tasted, if you will...whether you go fast or slow, you do fine work sir...
Absolutely, Joey!!!! Every time I pick an axe up to make firewood my father's words echo in my head.... He used to say that only by hand splitting can you really learn how the wood splits!
I saw your shout out on Tractor Talk With Gary and thought I would stop by and say hi. I really don’t get to split a lot of wood though I enjoy it, but as long as you are enjoying the process I don’t think it matters how you do it or if you are efficient. Just have fun! Take care!
Good evening to you, Gary!!!! Kind of thankful I'm on this side of the hill.... After watching all that timber you dropped, you might be putting me to work with my splitting axe, lol!😂

Thanks, Ben!
Glad you enjoyed the card and the sticker.
I really appreciate our friendship over the TH-cam airwaves!
Fast or slow, it has to be very therapeutic. The smell and feel of wood never, ever gets old.
It’s about the joy!
I could not have said it better myself, Howard! Beyond the tools used, the principle is what brings us out there!!!

Hey, Marty! I think that a balance between the 2 methods is the key to long-term success in cutting firewood.
Everything in moderation!

Noel....swinging right or left, a 6lb maul or axe is very likely to get the job done!

Thank you, Brian. You have been a great mentor for me when it comes to swinging axes!
I really like swinging an axe or a Maul and giving the Splitter a break. Makes for good exercise
