I bought one of these a few months ago (and I think I even asked you to review one). Mine was blue and number 508, so how you got the number 60m I don't know.... I got one for slightly less money than you suggest. $169 USD is about £125 GBP and mine from Amazon was about £85 I think. I do love it, and have no problems with the nib skipping, although I press quite hard and write a bit slower than you. But yes, a truly lovely pen, and if you can get hold of one for cheaper than $169 it would make a very good buy. I love mine to pieces, I had to caress it while I was watching your video! Thanks for making it.
How dare you write x in a way that is different to mine? I am literally outraged and I am afraid I will not be able to watch your videos any longer! ... that said, thanks for the review. And the FREE video, which many seem to forget.
Xezo pens are made under contract by other companies. For some models you can find literally the exact same pen, sold by other companies and often at a substantially cheaper price. The Xezo Phantom, for example, is identical to the Italix Parson's essential, which sells at a much lower price.
Thanks for the review. That finish looks interesting but I agree the IPG nib is a stigma that is not easy to overcome, especially at that price point. I also agree that I have some IPG nibs that have impressed me but the majority have been not so great. Limited edition or not, IPG will be a deal breaker for a lot of people.
We, who are the "Knights Who Recently Converted to Say Nix," applaud and appreciate your stylized version of "X" ! :D As always, many, many thanks for your excellent videos!
The IPG nib doesn't bother me as much as the size of the nib. A small nib like that isn't proportional to the size of the pen. They should've used a #6.
I miss them too! In point of fact, I was browsing through youtube videos and found them rather boring until I came across this intro which stopped me in my tracks. This lead me to watching all of Dr. Brown's videos. Thanks to those Byzantine monks and Dr. Brown's videos I have added 4 Pelikan M800s, 2 M1000's, 8 Parker Duofolds, 6 Viscontis, and 2 Pilot CH 912's. The 20 Bexleys I added on my own. Yes, I pay my bills ahead of time so money is not an issue, and I have found using a fountain pen at work (I run a city as city manager) very therapeutic and a real joy to collect. I owe Dr. Brown and those monks alot. Cheers, Steve
Actually it's ok. I just open another youtube channel and select Monks of Simonopetra Monastery at 1/4 volume and play Dr. Browns reviews at full volume with the monks chanting in the background. Of course, I fast forward past the new intro music Lol. Cheers, Steve
I agree that the price for this pen is high. It is Chinese made and in no way shape or form in the same class as luxury fountain pens. If I'm going to purchase something like this, I would order Italix brand from Mr Pen and get a cool custom nib. Another alternative would be the thousand Chinese pens on EBay for a few dollars with a brass body and a micron of gold plate. I personally think Cross would be a much better value for a pen with a brass body made in Asia. You would get a much better value and would be a much more appropriate gift.
Check out the Xezo Phantom pen (smile.amazon.com/Xezo-Phantom-Individually-Numbered-Translucent/dp/B00FT2T9MY/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8). It looks amazingly similar to my Italix Parson's Essential though it costs more than double and has no custom grind options. Is the Phantom actually a "Limited Edition" as they advertise? Should Peter Ford continue to describe the Parson's Essential as "Exclusive to MrPen"? Xezo is based in Sugarland, TX (a suburb of Houston), so the dodgy marketing and price gouging does not surprise me. Thanks for another fine review, Stephen.
Hahahaha, you GOT ME with "Welcome!" - I was like *"WTF is this now?!?"* 🤔😄

Love the new Backdrop! 'Tis very Fitting.

It's good to include cartridges when a converter is present.
Should have ask the professor to do the segment on idiosyncrasies of one's handwriting.
Enjoyed the review.
Beautiful pen. Gorgeous ink color. Nib is too dry.
Great review. Thanks.
Dank je, Stephen.
How do you know if it’s really 18K gold? Why do you doubt that the pen components are from Germany?
The appelboom logo next to your left shoulder is upside down
Would like to see your review of the ballpoint version. BTW the box is tacky, the only thing worse than fake leather is fake alligator leather.
you can see the ink flow reduce as he keeps writing. reminds me of some of my pilot pens with awkward inks. might be a feed problem
I have two Xezo pens and both behave exactly like that, you get no shading with these pens, they make blak inks look gray
Thanks for the review. Unfortunately Amazon.com does not ship these pens to The Netherland. Amazon.de does ;-)
good review thankyou so much

alex mood I'm saying it doesn't appeal to me.

Gull-wing opening.
Man I am just not digging this music. it's already DEEPLY ingrained in my head that this song = chef John.
I liked the old intro :(
a nicer chair could show status which you deserve and have earned
