At Gandire bar for the first in Mumbwa a day before schools opened was taken there by the seniors to have a feel of life in Mumbwa Zambia. This song hit the waves and sent the atmosphere crazy, very memorable day to today. This was Congolese music at its juvenile times.

Cette chanson était au top, on était des ngembos devant les petites ouvertures du bar Milano pour voir nos grandes sœurs et leurs copains danser. 1969, j'étais en 5è primaire à l’École primaire Dima, bien des années se sont écoulées, Jésus-Christ nous a sauvés du péché, Gloire à Son Nom...

C'était la belle époque, celle de l'insouciance et de la création musicale, loin de la technologie actuelle (synthé, ordinateurs). Aux dires de José Wasamber (Musique ya ba kulutu, Top Congo Fm), Vox Negro était un orchestre d'enregistrement qui n'a jamais livré de concert. Ceci explique certainement que ses membres ne soient pas très connus.
A l'epoque il y avait des musiciens de ce type qui ne se contentaient que de lancer des disques sur le marche.A part Germain et son Vox Negro,je me souvient de Jeff Mateta(frere de l'animateur radio Mateta Kanda) sans oublier l'ingenieur Freddy Mulongo.Ces gens ne se produisaient pas en public.

Comme beaucoup de chansons d'époque, "bolingo ya mbongo" est vouée à la disparition en l'absence d'une politique culturelle cohérente. C'est dommage de voir de voir tous ceux qui ont fait rayonner notre musique sombrer dans l'oubli. Qui se souvient par exemple de Mujos Mulamba, Kwamy Munsi etc?

Cette chanson etait sortie vers 1969-1970 alors que Jean-Jacque KANDE ,le grand frere de l'auteur,etait ministre de l'information.Cela va sans dire que,independament de la qualite reelle de la chanson,elle a aussi beneficie d'une promotion particuliere sur les antennes de la radio nationale.
L'auteur de la chanson s'appelait GERMAIN.

Michael, it is not Bokelo. This is a band that put together various bands musical style together as one. hence the tremolo rhythm guitar of Bokelo's Tambola Na Mokili feeling.
