Loving your videos. Great explanation! I watch a problematic amount of MTB TH-cam videos and your videos are some of the best.

Thanks Dusty. You delivered. I'm going to watch this a few times. You reminded me not to brake in burms. There's a series of tight fast burms I ride but I notice I feel my back tire skipping.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together 🤙

Where and when to add pressure clicked for me I've seen pros do this, but didn't know how they did it. Great vid!

I am currently working on cornering and berms specifically. Today I felt I was having some breakthroughs. On entering tight 180 turn berms, I was getting my center of gravity lower than previously - hinging at the hips , bending my knees a bit more, and getting my chest closer to the handlebars. By getting my CG lower, and keeping my weight balanced over both wheels equally, I felt much comfortable and was eliminating my problem of “comfort braking” in the apex.
Does my description sound right to you? Am I on the right track?

I think he has video coaching on Patreon. I've only watched this once and I didn't come away with what you're describing. That being said, having breakthroughs in riding makes it really fun!!!

I'm a member of the Patreon and it is an incredible value. High level coaching and individual video review for a crazy low fee. Highly recommend.

Another great video, thank you! In a different video comment section you replied asking if I have any female specific video ideas... well I have a big problem with speed/braking as in I feel like I'm almost always on the brakes and also at the times when I know I shouldn't be braking like in corners/berms and up jumps etc. I think this is an issue more common with women as stereotypically men seem to be able to throw themselves at risky, scary things while women are more likely to be careful and fearful. In normal life, slow is typically safe so it's instinct to apply the brakes whenever coming up to something a bit scary and trying to override that instinct because I know slow isn't safe in many MTB situations is really difficult to overcome. I know looking down trail vs at immediate ground can alter perception of speed and allow planning ahead but that still doesn't seem to be enough for me to let off the brakes. Perhaps you have some pointers, tips or insights on how to be more comfortable at speed?

Check out Roxy Ride and inspire. She has some specific pointers for women and smaller people.
