Me and my firlfriend are out on a road trip when the seatbelt alarm started malfunctioning and chiming sporadically (with the seatbelt attatæched) for the last three hours on yesterdays leg. This video literally saved the rest of our five weeks on the road and possibly our relationship! One of the most useful TH-cam videos I've ever had the joy of finding. This is the absolute best!!!! I have a long driveway and typically start down it before buckling but always way before I get to the road. I truly detested that alarm. Same scenario after grabbing the mail. No real need to buckle up in the driveway but for the annoying alarm. Now it’s fixed.

Just confirmed it works on a 2013 C-max I did both side one after the other from the drivers seat. Badass and thanks a ton! I use my car for deliveries as well as do most of the work on my car myself. This will be so handy!

Everything worked like you said on a 08 Ford freestyle except I had to put it in and eject it about ten times. Then the light turned on solid one more time for a few sec. You had to put it in one more time and then the light flashed like it did on your 2017 F-150 and then it worked. Thanks for the video. That dinging is so loud and annoying, glad it's gone

Yeeeeeep and Ford's are such a common car that parts are uber cheap. Another good place is Certifit. They make O/E body parts that are as cheap or cheaper than a junkyard. I bought a headlight assembly for a friend's 09 camry and it was $65 and it came with two brand new bulbs. Those bulbs are almost $10 a piece

In the U.S., what you refer to as the ‘emergency brake pedal’ is commonly known as the ‘parking brake’ or ‘handbrake.’ It’s essentially the same function, but the terminology can vary. It really fucking works, I had to buckle 6 times before the "yellow" warning light came on. But it really works thanks you so much. Sometimes i just don't want to wear a seat belt. Amd that beeping kills me.

Since aftermarket seatbelts don't come with the electrical connection, it's necessary to disable the chime. I can't even get an OEM belt from Ford (dealer says it's discontinued).

I do have another video for the newer models. You can try this process it might still work. Some vehicles have a smaller pedal that you push down to the floor to use your emergency break. Other vehicles like yours have the arm that you pull up near the gear selector.

LYN DULOS hey, you can try this video, this procedure will also enable the seatbelt minder if it has been disabled. If that doesn’t work then maybe somebody unplugged the sensor under your seat (should be one clip coming out from near the bottom of your seatbelt)
2003 Ford Focus. After I buckle, then un-buckle the driver's safety belt 3 times, ending with the belt un-buckled. But After step 5, the Safety Belt Warning Light does NOT turn on for 3 seconds. nothing happens after...
The method is not the same for all fords. They have instructions in the owner's manual. If you don't have the manual, it's better to Google it anyway, since these vehicles have so many bells & whistles, The manual is about as thick as a bible. It worked for me.
