Compared to the older Japanese 2 strokes maybe, but the european ones kill these. And I'm a honda guy... Having owned an 05 CR250, ridden the 08 RM250, 09, 10 & 15 YZ250 and the majority of the 16-17 euro's, I can safely say that the KTM/Husky's are miles ahead of the Yamaha YZ's. Yamaha made a great bike in the YZ, but to say it's "dialled in" is probably a slight overstatement. the lack of vibration in the new Husky/KTM/Beta's are amazing. And they're dropping fuel injection on the 2018 bikes now too. As I say, YZ = great 2 strokes, but not the best anymore.
Pierce Barrett I can't argue that since I haven't tried a newer ktm or any husky but I will say the Yz is still a really good bike. I'd like to see Yamaha do a fuel injected 2 stroke in a more modern chassis.
pity it wasn't tested somewhere that wasn't so smooth. we can see it revs to the sky and rails berms....like any 125 would have liked to see a more realistic track.
Jack Chegwyn are you on cheap drugs? 4stroke mx bikes are way more likely to blow up then 2strokes. I'd trust my kx 250 to race it with 100 hours on the top end.... 4 stroke nope 20 to 30 Max and I'd rebuild it before I raced it. 4 strokes suck

darrin goodbrand true but I like ktm65sx that's like the only ktm but I prefer Kawi or Honda for 85cc and yz125 and yz250(f)
