Leviticus 23 sets out "These are my appointed festivals" ie. Passover, Festival of Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Shavuot, all in the spring. As Christians we should be more aware of them. It is no accident that Jesus celebrated the Passover Seder and is the Passover lamb. That He was buried during the Festival of Unleavened Bread (7 days after Passover) and that He rose on the Day of First Fruits (first day after first Sabbath after Passover). Jesus fulfilled the old testament teachings.
When Jesus was in Gethsemane praying to his Father I felt he was more human than the Son of God in that moment. I read this and feel his grief on a human level and I get really emotional every time I study this chapter of the Bible. I can only imagine how he was truly feeling.
Absolutely. It's in that moment we can understand even more of what He did for all of mankind. He could have come to save the world in any way, yet chose to come as a human, to live and experience the world as a human. Undeniable grief.
Hi Kaela, I am so pleased that you have been led to carry on your mission with us. I always keep one chapter in front of you just in case I have to miss one, that way I am not playing catch up lol. So tomorrow I will be reading Ch.28 then I will start reading Mark. Being housebound I really look forward to 2pm here in the UK, as I know Big Sis will soon be here lol. You are my equivalent of 'going to church' and hearing the Gospel, if you know what I mean. God Bless Kaela, take care and stay safe and Thank You! 💜
@@hiswordmywalk Thank you Kaela, it's very much appreciated. While saying my nightly prayers, I thanked God for bringing your YT channel to my attention and his reply was "it will strengthen your ministry and strengthen my faith". So, we give God all the Praise, Honour and Glory for helping us to grow stronger in Him. Amen 💜 Romans 8:28

@@chrissenak7655 Oh I understand prior commitments. The video replay will be sent privately to all those who sign up, not shared publicly as I will be serving individuals and I want there to be the privacy and safe space for others to share and receive help as well. You are welcome to sign up and receive the replay, but I totally get it, not being able to be there live is different. ☺
@Kaela, I did smile when you sort of hinted as to whom used a sword. Was it fight or flight, though it shows under certain circumstances Satan intervenes.
I feel like now that we know the people a little better as we've read and remembered, even without the other Gospels giving details, we can put in a good guess as to who it was lol. And thankful John told us who it was to confirm ☺️
There's no problem. I will continue to give freely, and I will provide opportunities where I know God leads me to teach and coach and give guidance. There will be more times. I'm just so glad you are here and have been with us all throughout this Matthew journey ❤️
I kinda understood Peter, I felt it. Like if you knew that criminal you would deny cuz you wouldn't wanna be arrested, well I wouldn't say that Jesus was a criminal. Well Peter was afraid . I felt bad
Honestly, I love that you feel this way. I think so often we see "characters" in the Bible and not real people, real history. THIS REALLY HAPPENED! And when we can recognize the people and history as real, we can examine ourselves because we can try to think of what they were really going through.
In Matt 23:8 Jesus says call no one rabbi. Then in Matt 26:5, Judas calls him rabbi. Jesus is professing His Godship? I’ve never realized this until your video @10:48 😳

Vs 75: I think Peter’s fear of the world overcame his faith in the lord. I also have done this.

@@hiswordmywalk thanks so much. I just found you the other day and I’m really enjoying your content
Awe... Only 2 chapters left... Don't leave us big sis!!!
It's so wild that we are here! I just had no idea what would happen when I shared chapter 1. I didn't see THIS! God has prepared what's next 😉
Thank you for letting Him use you!!!
All 4 gospels have this same story.
I love that! And I love hearing/reading how each of the Gospels tell the stories from their account/remembrance/hearing ☺️
