So excited to talk pricing again this week!
Pricing is an area I used to struggle with SO much in the early days of our flower business.
And I know I’m not the only one.
Thoughts like, “I cannot charge that much” and “My customers won’t pay that much” used to swirl around in my head.
Friends - I’m here to tell you neither of those things are true.
You can price to the industry standard models. There is no need to adjust the pricing because you don't feel like you're qualified/experienced or because you think your city is “too competitive”. No ma’am.
We’ve been handed such an incredible gift, to have a proven pricing model that covers all the costs associated with running a flower business + ensures money is available to invest back in the business. So good!
In this week’s video, I share the most commonly taught pricing models as well as my super simple approach to pricing.
I also talk through the ins and outs of why there are two different pricing models, as well as give you guidance on when to apply each one.
So you have them, here are the traditional pricing models:
Everyday Flowers: Wholesale x 3 + time
Weddings + Events: Wholesale x 3.5-4.5 + time
And, here’s my super simple approach to pricing:
Everyday Flowers: Wholesale x 4
Weddings + events: Wholesale x 5 (or more).
