Just come across this , you did a fantastic job bringing the old girl back to life , I had the same van x BT and similar reg to yours funny enough and I can honestly say that was the best van I've ever owned , I had it for 8 years and never had a breakdown or anything major go wrong with it in that time , I reluctantly had to sell her due to the ULEZ coming into force in Jan 2012 in central London.......👍
Thanks for making this!! I got a mk5 X BT van a few months ago. Will be converting mine. Though I need to sort the gearbox first. Hope to see more videos of the transformation. Or any tutorials would be great!
Good job although I don't like the welding plates on it, the little dent on the back door would bug me especially after all the work you done, use standard wheels and grill and it would be good not sure if I would have used the original bt grey though
Very good job. But you need to get original wheels. The wheels that are on it are a dog show. U need the smiley Grill. Not generation grill. Repair drivers seat. And fully plylined. Then it will be perfect. Best of luck

Brings back memories of a hole year of weekends welding cutting and grinding.😤👍

Good job!👍 I also started repairing my rusty van.
Great job lot of hardwork but worth it
had every transit from mk1 to mk 7 only vans i would buy had a mk 5 done just over 300k when i sold it still going strong
Would be good to see totally stock with bt‘s old piper livery - there cant be many of them about
Fair play mate , you brought her back to life 😐
It's a not a mk5 Smiley if it hasn't got rust or been welded. The Ford DI is bulletproof as well.

Good work!Do you know how much kg is weight of this van?
1650 kgs
@@neilclarktransitmk3.4.5res5 Thanks!
She's beautiful. Only I'm not sure - isn't she pre-facelift version - older than cca 1994? The grill in smiley is different. But I may see wrong.
she is a smiley version but i prefer the pre face mk4 grill
thanks for the comments, watch to the very end as theres pictures of her completed after the blue screen
