So many ways to add to this build. Think I'd use cotton or batting and make cloud shapes at the base give it that high flying feel (and hide the parts keeping it upright). Could add some thread through the sails holding it to the masts give it an old feeling ship appeal. So many ways to play around with this build. I'd even do a Viking longboat version. Ahhhh Norse raiders from the sky!!!
Dude!!! Epic build! I'm running w/ this one, after my Frostgrave pieces. I have tons of those tops I've squirreled away. I've just been waiting for a great tutorial to guide my hand... Thank You!
Purdy! I'd consider doing one thing differently, though. For playability, it'd be good if you could remove the sails and rigging. That'd call for a substantial redesign, of course.
The way you do wood texture on the Popsicle sticks has always been so convincing to me. Oddly enough I always enjoy it when you use them xD. Can't wait to see more crafting videos Wyloch, this one is looking great. Also congrats on getting True Tiles going again :). You've made modular tiles for interior dungeons a lot, and now you've made a video about trees. I wonder how you'd handle exterior campaign settings - I mean as to stay consistent with the dungeon tiles. I get uncomfortable when I have Paizo cards and custom cards in the mix because it isn't consistent. So I guess my issue would be super specific. xD. Thanks for the great content!
Those apple sauce covers usually just end up as cat toys for me, don't know why I never thought to use them in a build before, they're pretty unique. Got me thinking of making a water wheel system with them or as part of tank treads now.. hmm.
awesome awesome awesome about time someone did an airship. is it just me or am I the only person that imagined Final Fantasy theme music in my head while watching this video? LOL.
A minor nitpick but couldn't the turbines be placed lower on the ship to help give it a more sturdy foundation? Otherwise amazing build. I get a distinctly asian vibe from it which is a nice change of pace for me.
Those sails look fantastic and the technique would work great on any Asian inspired boat builds.
@Seth Reese Yup, I have been using Kaldrostream for months myself :D
Would love to see you go back and make modern versions of all your old builds using the knowledge you've gained over the years

As much as I prefer foam and wood over chipboard/cardboard your measurements and builds are astounding and I love your videos for techniques and ideas

:-)
Wyloch, I stand corrected. You are definitely still crafting! Very nice. I need to try using the real wood decking on more projects.
Great build. Only thing missing is a pilot wheel on the bridge.
Left a few strokes on the course with this one.
It would look sick with a red dragon head silhouette painted in the middle of the foresail.
Oh, that is certainly being added to my game....flagship of the Sylvan Aerial Navy! So cool!
You can wrap the connecting joints of the mast with embroidery thread then coat it with pva glue.... makes it stronger and looks really cool!
Fantastic work! Now I have to go play through a few old video games, to steal some ideas for an airship of my own.
Fabulous! I'm thinking hanging it from the ceiling on fishing string would be a great way to display it in the home. Hmmmm....
WOW!!! Tottaly reminds me of the air ships in World of Warcraft. Well done, mate!
Reminds me of the old Spelljammer boats😊
Very well done and quite imaginative. The whole model looks great and it is a enjoyable build to watch. No doubt I will watch it again.
Thx!
Neat Spelljammer! Thanks for sharing.

This so so badass. I am making one in large size for my He-Man figures.

Excellent and creative build.
just found this Vid, as i ran out of inspiration for a Steampunk Flying Ship, Thank you, now have a second wind and more ideas :)
I think the ‘mast’ with the cotton reels is called a bow-sprit.
Craft of the year!
Aw, shucks...

Ahahaha, yes I almost used Cid's theme for the cold opening, but worried about copyright I decided not to.
It's the weatherlight ! I'm so going to make this!😆
Awsome craft Wyloch, a very Original and interesting build! Well done mate!
Love this. Thank you for a very inspirational piece!
Making this stuff does make you an artist, FYI.
Hmm like the main chassis, ill use that as a base for my zeplin
Great job. Excelent. Thank you for showing
dude, this is amazing! Very very nice. Could you bring us a zepellin, what do you think?
Dude, that was pretty damn good.
What did you use for the bottom turbines? I found the applesauce pouches for the screws/propellers but could not find the turbines.
Pretty impressive dude
Can you make a revived version of this build but bigger
.... damn. that looks wonderful.
Love the steam punk look :)
I gonna use this, but why not make the round forward nose of the ship flatter to better hold the leading mast?
Because I was designing this sucker on the fly. :-)
WOW amazing bud
Very cool
"Cylinders" more commonly referred to in civilised parts of the world as, "spools". ;-)
Oh, yes, almost forgot - very nice! :-)
AWESOME!
That shape looks like it is just the first 1/3 of a ship
Awesome build!! Where did you get those miniatures btw?

Very cool! Thanks!
Killer!

That boat looks short
Not a boat - airship!
Wyloch's Armory boat that flys
Anyway you're right. Some of those older episodes were kinda rough.
Ooo i have an idea for a cool build a series of infinity mirror walls and floors for some trippy mirror dimension
is it possible for you to come up with a bad idea???
looks elvish...
