A tip to make donuts last longer I remove them from the box asap and put in a big ziplock with no air or a airtight container then I put them in the fridge up to 5 days. 5 to 15 sec warm up in the microwave makes them almost as good as new. You can also freeze them for like 6 months but you would need to defrost them before warming them in the microwave. Hope this helps someone.
THANK YOU so much I didn't want to throw them away
Glad I could help :)
Don't know anyone that ever has leftover donuts, but I sure do want to try the waffle iron one! yum!
AND the bread pudding!
You'll have to scour the bakery sections for day old now ;)
It all depends on where you work. I have worked in at least one office that constantly had extras kicking around (that people had to take home or were going to be tossed).
these are fun! donuts are so good but it's true sometimes you have leftovers and they get boring.
I was impressed with how well these turned out, definitely worth a try!
Really good ideas :) I love Krispy Kreme! The problem is.. I eat them all lol so I never have leftovers! The donut bread pudding looked really good though!
The struggle is real, lol. We got 2 dozen free donuts for Talk like a Pirate day and we definitely didn't need that many between 2 of us :P
Ella says she wants to try them all! :)
lol. Today is free coffee day at Krispy Kreme so they give out free coffee and a doughnut. She could do one of them ;)
Unrealistic. Nobody ever has any Krispy Kremes left let alone nearly a whole box full.
You might if there are only 2 of you and you each get a free box on talk like a Pirate day lol
I actually have 10 dounts left
Wondering if you could dry a stale doughnut like you dry bread, process it in food processor to make doughnut crumbs and use those in cookie dough. Anyone tried that?
Sounds like you have the mind of a creative thinker :) I personally don't know that it would work well-a bit too sticky in the food processor and would probably get soggy in the cookies. But if you try it, let us know!
