buakaw is definitely in most peoples top 5 of all time list. many people say he is GOAT of muay thai.

For me it’ll be Saenchai as the best when it comes to Muay Thai. Buakaw is best in kickboxing mixed with Muay Thai. But Saenchai wins for me since his style is an adaptation of the original war art, even his signature cartwheel kick comes from an ancient style
But, since they are in 2 different styles OF Muay Thai, I would definitely say they’re #1 in their respective styles for sure.
- At 1:54 Buakaw is performing the Wai khru ram muay. Its a ritual dance performed by fighters before the fight starts. Many fighters do it the same way, some add a personal feature to it. The specific scene seen is 'Pra Ram Phlaeng Sorn'. Quote: "Rama follows the deer. This series of movement includes a lot of kneeling and bringing the hand to the brow as if shielding the eyes from sunlight to better see your prey. Some fighters even rub their hands together in “anticipation”, having seen their quarry. This movement includes miming the act of drawing arrows, stringing them to a bow and firing them at the opponent. Often the opponent is “missed” three times, each time the fighter adjusting and stepping closer to his target. You may even get the opponent playing along, dodging or breaking the imaginary arrows. The last arrow is acknowledged as a hit by the person doing the performance, before returning to his corner.".

- The "headbands" many muay thai fighters wear before a match and while peforming the wai khru is a Mongkhon. Its often blessed by the trainer or even a monk and shall bring you luck
- I personally think Buakaw will win the fight. Saenchai brings the technik and higher fight IQ, but Buakaw got the power and also an height/weight advantage. Altough, Saenchai is known to take on bigger guys and winning over them. So it will be good fight for sure
- Many of the fights in this highlight are from K1/Kickboxing. This is also where Buakaw got really famous. He transitioned into K1, originally coming from traditional muay thai. In his later years he went back to fighting more muay thai again
- Tawanchai and Buakaw could technically fight each other since both are equal in weight, but Tawanchai is signed with ONE and Buakaw isn't. Rodtang is fighting at flyweight, so way under Buakaws weight. And he's also signed with ONE
- Next friday ( december 9th ), he will fight at Rajadammnern World Series. They stream it live on youtube, so a recorded live reaction would be cool
- A reaction to Lerdsila would be amazing. He's also known as 'The Eel'. Very beautiful way of fighting. Muay Thai Scholar got great highlights of him. Many other do too

Rodtan is a new comer. Buakaw has kind of retired!
In 2004 Buakaw crossed over to do more kick boxing. He hasn’t fought a Thai fighter in years….his decision Senchai is a more skilled Muay Thai fighter, but Buakaw put the art back on the map with his international fights. I know the two are good friends and I think it will lean more towards a exhibition. But I don’t care who Buakaw fights, his weapons are sharp enough to hurt anyone in the art.

Buakaw is one of the GOATs of Kickboxing but in Muay Thai, he is considered to be pretty good but not considered one of the GOATs but he is arguably one of the best promoters of Muay Thai.

Tawanchai in 3 or 4 years in a fight with Buakaw would be a hell of a fight. Somebody going home with a broken something. Tawanchai is too young right now...but closer to his height and mass...
The thing about Buakaw is that he’s really old now. Like he’s way past his prime. A better matchup would be Tawanchai vs Superbon because Superbon is Buakaw’s protege and is kinda considered Buakaw 2.0.

@@wenthailiu9473 Tawanchai is one weightclass(Featherweight) above Nong O(Bantamweight). It ‘s still possible for it happen as he was at Bantamweight before he fought Larsen.
