Will here it is 2020, and doing my last corvette, a 76 C3 stingray. Nearing 70 now I still have a passion for them, but the old body say's it's time to quit and finish up our 28 Nash street rod and enjoy what time I have left. Great video, and will visit your channel in the future, Bear @ Bears Rod Shop, TX

That hood really came out nice, unbelievable work. I have never done any glass hoods, but I have done a lot of metal hoods and I know how hard it is to make them perfect. I herd someone at work tell me ya got to love it. lol

By far my favourite channel on TH-cam. I love doing body work and this channel inspires me to do it even more. Have done all the prep on my truck and the body shop said it was straiter than factory. Defianatly enjoy the longer videos from start to finish!! Cheers

Finally got off my duff and watched it all the way through. Pretty much what I used to do. Just wasn't sure if my 20 year old technics were still up to par with toady's paint. But I was happy with my first paint job in decades. Not as reflective as yours. But still a nice clean street car paint job.

Would love to see how you painted that hood, the steps it took because it's beautiful !

Beauty! You're right those Corvettes were pretty lumpy back in the day plus the paints weren't nearly as shiny as modern paints. Bet you're right - he'll be back to have the rest done. Much better than new.

Wow ! The vette came out great ! This is impressive work. The body work on the nose looked great before you rolled it in the booth. I have no tips on how you could improve your channel. Simply the best ! Sadly I botched a job on a 69' Dodge charger two decades ago. I considered myself lucky to have been able to straighten the body and replace floor pan on such an iconic car. Poor lighting and lack of knowledge was to blame. Failure motivated me to improve ! Thanks Gunman ! : )

Very cool mate I enjoyed that! We have a black 1975 Stingray 350 and I am a big Corvette fan. This has the big block hood so for 1971 it may have originally had the 454ci, 365 horse motor. Engine looks a little custom so he could have changed to a 350 or it may have been an original 350 and someone has changed the hood to a big block hood. Look forward to seeing part 2! Keep up the good work, your teachings have helped me a tonne mate. I appreciate your efforts with making these videos

I am a bit of a newbie, but when I'm watersanding at 600 before basecoat, you can poor water where u sand it and watch it run off. If it stops, or changes course it's not been sanded enough. Lol it works for me...

I love the hood and have always wanted one for my Vette but not an after market one.
Covering the engine bay would have keep a lot of dust out and would help keep dirt from the paint. Also, hand blocking is the best but more work.

Gunny stick a rolled up piece of red scotch bright pad but not too tight in the exhaust port of sander see if that quiets it down a bit.

Hey Gunman! You should make an amazon list where you get a percent (some amazon program). I just bought over $500 in auto painting supplies via amazon, and I think people with lists get like 7%. Dave Jones from EEVblog has one. It could really help you out while establishing your business.
