It amazes me that she never won an Oscar. I know she won a Juvenile one for The Wizard Of Oz, and she was a great contender in A Star Is Born, but for her performance in Judgment At Nuremberg alone.
She truly should have gotten the Oscar for both movies Star and judgement. Much has been written and said about star by the world however, no one hardly ever mentions her 1962 Oscar bid "judgement"! As good as Rita Moreno was, Judy's performance far out shines this. Another unfair and hurtful judgement by the academy.🤔
I just love this so much. Ever since I first saw Judy in "The Wizard of Oz" and heard her sing when I was 8 years old, I became an instant fan and she became one of my childhood heroes. I never fully understood at the time that she was no longer alive during my time, but now that I do understand it, it makes me very sad. I would have really liked to have met her and told her how much she's inspired me over the years.
