This is my favorite flea market as well! I go here almost every week and most of my good finds are from this market lol! I hope to bump into you guys when you’re back in Tokyo, maybe we can go thrifting together ☺️
@@RalphSam yes! Im lucky and grateful 🙏🏻 i can also give you some recommendations for other places that i usually go to for thrifting 😉 Tokyo summer right now is so bad so i usually go to indoor thrift shops 😅
I don’t even know how I found your channel but I’m hooked. I’m a 45 yr old Mom of boys living in Atlanta GA and now watching all of your videos. Inspired to travel to Asia on my next solo trip. 😊
Thanks for an enjoyable video. My favourite flea market which I'll be visiting again in a few weeks. I went there almost every weekend for 10 years when I lived in Tokyo. Every day I enjoy using and looking at the antiques and collectables I purchased. I took the bus which was close to my home and always arrived just after 8am. Even though it is much larger now with more clothing and toys I noticed many of my favourite vendors are still there. My favourite food van sells chicken and rice/potatoes. The owner is amazing as he speaks Arabic, Italian, English and Japanese.
That is so so cool to hear! Makes me wonder what it was like 10 years ago. And which sellers stuck around since then. Must have been amazing to get to visit so often. Safe travels for when you return soon! 🤍
Another great flea market video! I might have told you already, but I normally watch other TH-camrs' video with speed 1.25 (faster), but not your video! I love your soothing vibe and enjoy watching with normal speed :)
I love your aesthetic …and loot of course! And you’re so down-to-earth and not obnoxious. Please don’t change! How many suitcases do you bring back home from one of these trips? 😊
Absolutely love your videos! You're always so kind and respectful, definitely lead examples of how to film and visit Japan. Love your content, thank you!
Nice video, I like the vibes in all your videos. Every time I go there, I noticed more tourists checking out the place. There is another market at Ajinomoto stadium which is really good.
Congrats on the 350k video! :) This flea market was def one of the highlights of our trip, so definitely worth many more visits.. As per usual, thanks for another great vid ♡
14:08 I can’t believe it, I got this exact same silk shirt from the OI market on Monday July 15th! It’s now hanging in my closet in Aruba. Wish I could send a pic. Loved the market so much, scored a kokeshi doll, some broches, pants. Just amazing. Love your content, Missing Japan!❤
No way!! This is blowing our minds 😮 We were there end of June, so a little before you went. Please feel free to send us a pic on IG haha. Amazing coincidence. Makes you think how small the world can be sometimes. Wishing you all the best in Aruba 👋🏻
Congrats on the views! Ganbatte! I hope you both applied sunscreen at the flea market! Also the train station by the water looks like something right out of a Ghibli film 😀
Must be tough being traveling models as a couple. 😉You guys seriously need to release a lookbook and get yourselves out there! I am about to get back into the photography game with a Sony Mirrorless camera but I'm notwhere back to doing fashion/glamour shoots just yet. I'm also all the way in the U.S. That's a long haul! Anyway, love the videos as usual!
I enjoy these vlog and love the fact you promote shopping second-hand :) I visited Japan twice but never stumbled upon a flea market so far. How do you find them? Do you look for them online in advance, or do you have tips/tricks to find them on a specific day/specific places?
Happy to hear from other people who appreciate second hand 🙌🏻 We visited this market many years ago, and we've been going back ever since. Sites like Tokyo Cheapo also have lots of market info and scheds 😊
Hi Sam and Ralph, can you recommend a safe and not so expensive hotel to stay, my first time to travel to Japan. How about adding an itinerary that is not to hectic more on the countryside and also train ride. I am 77 years old. Thank you.
Hi there! We recommend Dash Living or Koko Hotel. They have a few locations, just make sure to pick one close to the train station so easier for you to walk. We also spent time in Karuizawa, which is beautiful and full of nature. 🤍
Hi Ralph & Sam, such a nice vlog! i would go to visit Tokyo next month, is this flea market will open all the time? did you went in specific days? i've read some review saying this flea market sometimes close.
For winter, look for Boroichi Fair 世田谷のボロ市 in Setagaya on Google Maps. We havent done this flea market yet but it looks so fun. Every Dec 15-16 or Jan 15-16 only. Enjoy!

great video. that flea market is on my list of places to visit next time i'm in town

Where is this flea market located, and how often does it run?
Every weekend from around 9 am to 2pm. Closed when it rains. Located at Ohi Racecourse.
Is it only me that haven't watched the first video?
Haha better late than never 😊
These are nice flea markets. The ones in the US just have junk and rusty tools 😂
Hahaha! We've been to some cool antique malls over there though, which we haven't seen in any other country 😊
Is it too hot in Tokyo?
we were there in june when it was still bearable. it's much much hotter these days!
