Reject my MG Electric car

- I try to reject my Electric Car MG X Power and this is what happened. Section 75 is supposed to offer protection for buyers, not in this case. The finance company is supposed to do a proper investigation, not in this case. MG continues to offer excuses which the Dealer and bank, finance company go with.
Lets all refuse to buy those electric cars, this is not acceptable
Half the problem is they are so desperate to sell us electric cars, they will go to any lengths like covering stuff up when things go wrong
They simply don't want to open the flood gates, as this would cost them too much.
@@ghunt9146 absolutely nail on the head . Would they be prepared to lie in court though
My son ordered a new Jaguar XF Portfolio in 2016 which was supplied with a full display of all warning lamps lit on the dashboard. A couple of weeks after delivery the supplying dealer closed and the nearest dealer had the car back repeatedly trying to repair it. My son rejected the car, the factory sent an inspector to check the faults and agreed with all my son had reported. The factory then contacted my son and said that, as the engineer couldn't find any fault, they wouldn't accept his rejection; IN SHORT THEY ARE ABSOLUTE LIARS. Only by contacting the CEO personally did my son get to return the car but, if you consider the current management at Jaguar, I don't think the same result would be possible now unless you were extremely wealthy.
Plenty of lies being told here, only reason for it is not to pay out , it's corrupt it's wrong and I won't stand for it, all involved are supposed to be regulated by FCA, means absolutely nothing, if they followed the rules this wouldn't happen.
Appreciate you telling your story and valuable comments
That's because the garage forgot to take it out of delivery mode. When it arrives at the dealership it needs a reset.
I had a few cars like that and the garage showed me what they do as they carry out the inspection.
@@OH2023-cj9if that was another issue in my case the dealer did not do a p.d.i
MG & China enough said!
I initially thought they had improved things , how wrong I was
My MG5 continues to be the most reliable and cheap to run car I have ever owned.
@@mikebreen2890 not a question of cheap to run in my case , it's about cost avoidance, terrible customer service and selling cars they know are faulty from factory
@@mikebreen2890 likewise with the two ZS's and an MG3 in our family, but none are EV's, at 7, 5 and 3years old, no issues. All 1.5 petrol's with engines and chassis developed at the old UK MGR factory, just built in China.
Mugs will be Mugs ,The curse of the Milk float.
Now I realise I've been ripped off , I am at least doing something about it
If its on finance.... Give it back to them
This video tells you they won't take it back unfortunately only thing left is court action
it is a closed protected shop we should all be avoiding . The agenda comes first every time .
What's the point of legislation and protections, when it suits, it's ignored or abused
I know you've made other videos on this, but the first time in this video you mentioned vibration was at 4:35
So to a new viewer we've had almost 5 mins of not knowing what the issue was.
You could improve the videos by starting with " I've tried rejecting my car because of a known vibration issue with the MG4 XPOWER"
Thank you for the comment I appreciate it, I will try to improve things as I go, new to content making and everything is unscripted. I will make a list of points needed on my next one that may help avoid mistakes like this.
Guessing it will be at least 2030 before these Chinese car manufacturers fix simple design flaws. Until then we had better get used to these characteristics and special features if we really want cheaper plug-in motoring. The dealers are having a hard time servicing and repairing vehicles requiring additional training and finding batteries are more complex than they imagined. They're left holding onto fast depreciating cars.
Part of the problem is this MG dealer doesn't know how to fix or diagnose this particular fault so they rely on MG and then when they say we won't pay , nobody could care less
@@civilcasedismissed That goes for most EV dealers, I know of Audi's and Porsche EV's waiting heater fixes ( good job it isn't winter).
@@stephenwood9687 the macmasters Porsche lost over 4x the value of my car so customers suffering from all directions
@@civilcasedismissed All EV's suffering massive depreciation due to a few issues; fire concern, fault fixability and battery update obsolescence. My wife's petrol MG, at 5 years old has just had a trade in offer meaning it has only lost £2025 from new! The trouble is even most combustion cars now have a built in obsolescence as things like the expensive infotainment screens control many car features and they are only warranted for 3 years as best, even in manufacturers 7 years warranties.
@@stephenwood9687 warranty doesn't mean a thing , well in my case anyway.
My Dacia I bought at the height of values few years ago hasn't really lost that much and it has never let me down, perfect MOT history also, no tech but no problems
New vehicles and house purchases are two of the most expensive things most will ever buy and their is fock all in law to just get your money back if they are not fit for purpose, I wonder why?
Insurance says I can't insure properly, any crash they may not pay, they know to get your money you have to take them to court , most won't do that , I will
you have to go to RAC or AA and tecnical inspection your car has a lantent defect and MG are kicking the can down the road until you get pissed off
I'm not stopping until they fix it , your 100% it's what they do
You can get driveshafts made in the uk i have in the past for a engine conversion if you can't send it back might be worth getting some made
@@BobSmith-wb4il nice idea but I shouldn't be paying for this, subframe/ motor mounts and cross members all need changing as my previous video so not that simple.
Appreciate the valuable comment though
Not an electric car issue, but I see some people that don’t get it.
They can't or won't fix it , if they fix it they lose money, so I would say it is an electric car issue, they cost to much to fix if something goes wrong and the expertise are not there.
Call any so called electric car specialist and they won't touch it
@@civilcasedismissed It's a car issue, end of.
Maybe some crossed wires but thank you for your valuable contribution
I see you are the one who doesent get it.
I can make many sort of issues of it but it is about a electric car so it is definitely a electric car issue...
It seems a common complaint for this MG. Sorry you got caught out. Others beware. I wouldn't go near an MG or other Chinese manufactured car. I'm not saying other manufacturers are any better, it's just China will sell all around the world. The UK possibly represents a few percentage or less of their sales. Therefore their not going to respond to complaints from a few hundred uk purchasers, which possibly equal less than 0.1% of the UK cars sales for MG.
You have nailed it there , thank you for the valuable comments, what I don't understand is the finance company, my bank(section 75 claim)and the dealer all following the narrative, nothing wrong with this car even when there are stacks of proof to the contrary
Seems like rock solid evidence to me
I'm told by my bank , I don't have any evidence, I can't wait for their final response
