Bama’s gonna be really dangerous if they have a QB playing at a high level for 2025! We got serious talent at WR next season….Ryan Williams, Isaiah Horton, Jalen Hale, Germie Bernard, Rico Scott, #7, and several more young guys. Just gotta get one of our QBs playing winning 🏈, it won’t be Milroe though! I think Keelon Russell will play early but not sure if he’ll start game 1.
I think the coaching staff was handcuffed to that quarterback all year because he's one of the ones that stayed and got some other people to stay I guess they thought they would just rock with him no matter what he's nothing like any quarterback they've ever worked with before he actually got worse as the season went on that is crazy one player can single-handedly bring Alabama football down this far
Milroe would've had an excellent career at Alabama if not for Michigan. Its really that simple. Alabama fans get on Milroe but the main issue in both games was Alabama inability to block Michigan. Milroe got sacked 11 times, hit many more, which naturally causes a QB to drop his eyes therefore he can't see guys come open downfield. Bama fans should be bashing their oline too as Michigan has dominated all those supposed 5-stars.

It’s easy looking back to say that it was all Milroe’s fault , but (devil’s advocate) Milroe was a Heisman candidate, nearly a finalist in 2023 and was one of the keystone players who didn’t transfer out when Saban retired and even convinced other players to stay. He looked like superman after beating Georgia. The Vandy loss was embarrassing but not down to Milroe or the offense. It wasn’t until the loss to Tennesee that the flaws became obvious. It was more down to DeBoer losing his OC to Seattle and having to promote the TE coach Sheridan to OC as an emergency fix. Sheridan plus Milroe is the real answer to the question of how can Bama have such a poor season. Wommack also took the first half of the season to bed in as DC and after Vandy was looking like the main weakness- but they turned the D around by the season’s end. The bowl loss wasn’t down to bad defense, because Milroe turned the ball over three straight possessions in the first quarter (partially Sheridan’s poor play calling - run the damn ball from under center when it’s raining cats and dogs, ffs!)
I think Ty Simpson will be the starter and spring, and maybe hold on to it to start the regular season. If Keelon is a "natural" at quarterback, maybe he gets playing time as the season goes on.
If he couldn’t prove to be better than Milroe at any point over the past two seasons I don’t have much faith in him being “that dude”! Maybe he proves me wrong but we only need him to get us thru the first half of the season imo, after that I think Keelon will be able to step up as QB1!

He is a good guy and has good intentions, Michigan is probably just the hardest program to cover and of course he will experience hatred from time to time

We've already got a 5 star QB on the bench. Ty Simpson. Russell needs to develop behind him for at least a full season.
