I like how Sotus was more into character development and story built-up. Although I have nothing against sexual scenes in BL, I just felt like Sotus not having any sexy scene was a good decision. It made the story lighter and more feel-good for me.

I like how some of this actors have played both bl and straight characters in other dramas.
SOTUS was basically made in that period when bl dramas were just cropping up. First they put bl side couples in straight dramas (like Kaopete in kiss me and PPbillkin in My ambulance). After the recognition, proper bl series were made which were as long as straight ones. Now hardly any of the 'top bl series actors' are seen in straight dramas. Companies don't want to ruin their reputation in the fanbase either I guess😂

It irks me that people always recommend Waterboyy when it comes to New (the actor that plays M). Waterboyy had a very bad script, the development of the main couple is erratic at best and not satisfying at all. The good thing about it is that they both are handsome and their interactions are very easy on the eyes, but apart from that... If you want to watch New / M in a really amazing BL role, go for Kiss Me Again (pequel of Kiss Me the series)! Pete and Kao (one of the main couples, in which New plays Kao) are just freaking fantastic and the chemistry between the actors is amazing. I heard that they even opened a business together after the series ended. Really good. In fact, I've just rewatched it yesterday, for like, the fourth time!
