It's April 2023 and it's my first time watching SOTUS. Can't believe Sotus came in 2016, it feels like I am watching a drama which is just released. I am in love with Sotus the series. Each and everything is so so so perfect in SOTUS. The actors, the unique and perfect story, the chemistry between Kongpob and Arthit, and everything is so perfect. I have no words to describe how amazing and unique Sotus the series is. It's a masterpiece, I am glad I got to know about SOTUS and decided to watch it.

OMG I just realise this after rewatch Sotus for like millions times, don't know if anyone notices it yet or can see it at this moment (5 years after the movie) but I still need to say. At 4:35 Kong said that HE DOESN'T LIKE SWIMMING IN THE SEA, from that tone and face expression, I pretty sure that he doesn't like the sea either (just don't like, not hate). That detail make his jealousy later makes more sense. Just think, your crush that you have to try so hard to get closer and never give you a happy face now make you get in the sea (which you don't like) then sing and smile with the girls, how you can bear that. I know that he is jealous here, but the fact that he doesn't like sea also explain a lot because his action always seem weird to me. Kongpop is very preserve and good at control himself, so seeing him act like that is weird and I had needed a lot of time to make sense of it, now realising it really help me understand more what he feel.
P/s: in Sotus S, he seem very happy at the beach, he even run to the sea to tease Arthit, he also said that he love the sea. It becomes even more romantic now.

honestly this is the most iconic scene in all of BL history. between the boys moping around as if it's torture to be in the ocean, to kongpob trying to drown himself over such petty jealousy, to the look on arthit's face when kongpob says he was just following orders to "cool off his head" -- this whole scene is just beautiful and iconic.

It’s easy to criticize Kong while watching him, but if we were his character, I doubt we would rationalize all these actions. At 9:37, he clearly gave some serious thought, then looked out and immersed under. He could’ve been trying to cool his head down for real, and tried to make the jealous feeling going away while getting Arthit’s attention at the same time. Oh, it's definitely abusive. And just because it happens irl doesn't make it okay in any way. While I do think the lessons they learn are valuable, they can learn them in less psychologically scarring ways! SOTUS and any of its similar rl programs (including stupid sorority/fraternity hazing and initiations that happen here in the USA) are literal bullying that for whatever crazy reason is actually allowed/encouraged by campus staff and the administrators/board. Insanity. But this series is still very enjoyable, lol. It can be hard not to feel frustrated that SOTUS bs actually exists outside of TV shows, but I try to focus on the developing relationships between the characters instead. Those parts are just perfect.
