EA has a better experience if you prefer to play online. If you want to enjoy offline experience and a normal pace football rather than the arcade-style FIFA offers, I suggest PES. About consoles, I recommend you to buy a PS4 if your main focus are football games: PS4 has more players online due to its number of users being superior to Xbox One, but also you have the option file on PES, which Xbox One does not offer.
If PES makes a decent comeback with Unreal Engine in PES 2022 I don’t think fans will care about the licenses. We have the option file, they just need to fix the gameplay and move FIFA from its comfort monopoly zone, that’s all.
Everytime I am debating myself to either get PES or Fifa. The Introductions to the match are amazing but as soon as I see actual game play of fifa I know why I choose PES every year. What a shame. I wish pes had the same level of presentation. That's the only think fifa is better at atm.
