Bren: luved the shot of the four of you on one wave at 3:00. Too bad the country had to get pounded for such great local paddling. BTW. Top marks to whoever made the toboggan run when you were leaving the parking lot and heading to the river. Very classy entry... give the man full marks.
2:30 "Tree, tree, tree!" Technically, I believe that once it is floating down the stream, it is a log. But anyway, now I gotta learn how to "log boof".
I'm super new to white water kayaking and I love your videos. Lots of information and you're extremely positive. I went out and got a 2020 Cosmos Phantom, I can roll 9/10 times but still tip over in what appears to be calm water. I did an instructional course at Columbus GA and went through wave shaper at 8000 cfs. Somehow I didn't flip there. What are the top 3 tips you would give you a new kayaker? Thanks for all the content!
when you buddy slid down that hill and right into the river you didn't straight away did the same - except with a properly closed sprayskirt?!?!?! would have loooved to see that, eeeeeeepic long slide right into the action! missed opportunity
Haha, I have done that in the snow. They put in poles to stop you seal launching from the good spot and now you have to line up straight at the Tree. Bold, bold decision by Rich to go for that line :p I Portaged.

How do you keep the water off your go pro lens
@@benjaminmcnally2587 I would assume constant wiping. It's just edited out.
Like a diving mask. Lick it and then give it a splash. Works a treat.
@@Senders awesome I will remember this for when I get my first GoPro. Got me a new LL Stomper 90.
Should of said new to me
