"Daechwita" is a type of ancient traditional military music that was played when the king and his army marched/processed on parade display - essentially, AgustD is saying to play that royal power music when he's around because he's the king (WHERE'S THE LIE, amiright?!?)

Suga is synonymous with genius. This is part of his trilogy, continuing with Haegum and ending with Amygdala. Suga not only writes and produces his music, he also writes the script and produces his MV. 😊
This is the MV that drew me into BTS. They are MORE than KPop. Suga’s (savage Agustd) flows, lyrics, layered meanings in the instrumentals, producer, dancer.. D-2 in 2019/2020… Agustd in 2016 and now D-Day in 2023, masterpieces! Now I am BTS fan.
His song amygdala is really good too . He talks about true traumatic events that happened in his life and it is part of this storyline and it shows how he got the scar on his eye .

Yoongi is a genius. Btw Min Yoongi is his real name, when he performs with BTS he is Suga and for his solo projects he uses Agust d. Read it backwards Dt is Daegu Town (his hometown) followed by SUGA. What i like and admire about his solo work that he always tells his personal story. He was fighting a long battle against depression and social anxiety ( his song "the last" from his first mixtape), he is not worried to talk about his own mental struggles, that made him a huge help for Army who are struggling also, he is so very loved. Daechwita is the first part of his trilogy Haegum (brilliant!!!) the second part and Amygdala the last part. Amygdala will make you cry. It is all about fighting against your own shadow, the sinister part of your personality.

Today the 22nd is the actual 4 year anniversary of Daechwita. Happy anniversary to a masterpiece. Love that it floored ya. You are in for a ride for all the solos. They aren't #1 in the world for lack of talent. Their talent is diverse and supreme. The executioner is the butcher who for a brief moment Suga stops to talk to in the market. Plot twist. Agust D showed us his stuff on his first mixed tape. The self titled song is a banger. And you can't determine their style with one song. Jhope surprises us across his solo discography as does RM. RM's style is changing all the time. Jhope does too. Suga is incredibly diverse as well and surprises us all the time. In addition to head bangers here is the softer side: First Love, Eight, Seesaw, Snooze.

It has to do with him trying to rid himself of parts that no longer fit, and trying to deal in healthier ways with past traumas. (I hope I am summarizing correctly.) I'm glad you're on time to release this content on D-2's 4th anniversary. Daechwita is the main track on Mixtape D-2. The song & the entire concept of the MV story came from Suga himself. For me D-2 is a mixtape masterpiece. The side song is also very cool.

People always get so surprised when they hear BTS swear or have more 'adult' lyrics but actually they've been doing this since their debut. Literally their 1st anniversary song 'So 4 More' starts with Namjoon yelling into the mic "it's been a year! It's been a muthafuckin yeeeaar!!" So uhh... that kind of sets the tone that BTS are not playing the same game as other kpop groups and never have been. They don't swear as often in their main BTS albums (though they do still swear), and their lyrics tend to have a more positive uplifting vibe to them, but they've never exactly been censored!
SUGA aka A gust D is phenomenal💜 He is a musical genius. The next in line to this trilogy is Haegeum followed by Amygdala. He writes everything and these songs are about him, his mental etc. He is simply amazing 💜

Yeah, you need to check out their solos, especially the rapline ( RM, Suga/Agust D, & J-Hope). They all have a different vibe, which makes them so unique as a group together. J-Hope released a mini solo album a couple month ago called "Hope on the Street" which is 🔥🔥🔥. And, RM has a new album that's due out this Friday 5/24. V dropped a solo song called "Fri(end)s" a couple months ago too. Keep in mind all 7 members are serving in the military right now. So, they did all of this before they enlisted, so that ARMY (their fan base) would have something new every few months while they were away. 💜

Personally, I think that is true Agust D "Suga" is a genious. He has written so many songs. "The Last", he talks about his mental issues. Last year, I went to one of his concerts in Chicago "D-Day", you should review some of his concert songs Daechwita & D-day, the whole concert was amazing. Haegeum is from his album, D-Day, his third solo work in his trilogy. Haegeum uses the same instruments, as Daechwita, but more contemporary. Haegeum is the name of one of the instruments played; however, the second meaning is the lifting of a ban on things forbidden!!!
Snooze, featuring Ryuichi Sakamoto (pianist & Oscar winning composer) and WooSung of The Rose (Korean rock band) are fabulous in this song. Sakamoto, a mentor of Suga, passed away the winter before the release of D-Day. The fanmade mv by elisssa is truly a work of art and is beautiful.
As for BTS, the rap line - Suga, RM, and JHope - listen to their Cypher pt 1-4. As a group, BTS includes rap lines in all their songs; however their best are very culturally referenced - Ddaeng, Idol, and Anpanman! Also, Mic Drop is pretty hard!!!!! Since you gravitate toward hip-hop rap, BTS's debut work was harder hip-hop, so I recommend dance practice videos of We are Bulletproof pt 2, Boy in Luv, Danger, Dope, NO. Their live performance of Jump is really good and showcases a vocal line singer V rapping! Highly recommend the MV of Fire - OMG, it's literally 🔥!!!!!! Also, the mv On is spectacular!
