    Switching back and fourth between hindi and english was a little confusing, but this technology is genius, the water is a waveguide that directly contacts the material and evacuates the ablated material, its like a fiber laser on steroids, very impressive.

      Who is not intrigued by this machine? Imagine it cuts through thick ordinarily unmachinable
      materials with breathtaking precision. Can you imagine the future machines,say 20 or 30 or 50
      years from now? Will man manufacture people and not make them in bed ,100 years hence?

      I'm pretty sure that's because this is an Indian channel. I've worked with a lot of Indians in the past and in my city(in Canada) we have channels on the radio that sound like this. It's not that they're speaking English badly, they're speaking a pidgin language with many English words.

    This technology looks amazing.
    His voice reminds me of that 1 time when I met an Indian accountant in the park and he tried to fix my English pronunciation while my American boss told me that I have a good California accent. It was funny though 😂

    I worked at nhbb they make aerospace ball bearings,the no burs after the cut takes away a step by not having to grind them off,also not burning the metal is big in the machining world

    I work with a lot of Indian nationals as a software engineer, and even I had had a difficult time understanding more than 1/3 of the words.

    I'm quite curious to compare and contrast the efficacy against EDM. Especially regarding hardness of materials. Water-jets were cutting edge (I meant that), at the time but slowly have been surpassed by many methods of technological machining. I'm glad to know I could still understand him😅

      Edm is an expensive and slow process for precision sheet metal cutting maybe thats where it fits.

      As far as i Know the material must be conductive for EDM, so Ceramics woulnt work.

    The accent is hard to understand but great video none the less. This is one of those innovative technologies that seems kinda obvious after it's been made. The way the water jet cools the material to prevent it from melting resulting in a cleaner cut is genius. Got a like from me!

    Cool! Super high precision, straighter and more accurate cuts, cooling while cutting, less slag, and longer distance.
    I'd wonder what the additional costs was, but I'm sure most precision lasers or water cutters are already pretty expensive. I don't see this machine adding too much additional costs, am I right in that assumption?

    What keeps the water from splashing into the laser beam upon hitting the surface to be cut? If that happens, wouldn't the water mass diffract the beam?

      The laser beam is INSIDE the jet of water. That is what is amazing.... The tiny stream of water acts like fiber optic strands to contain the beam and keep it from getting larger all the way to the surface of the part. The inside of the water tube is almost 100% reflective and has some other nice benefits as well.

    I did my masters in manufacturing technology in college though I don't practice it in my career. I intrested in knowing the energy distribution between the laser and the micro jet. Looks like the laser is doing the heavy lifting and the water just acts like a sleeve.

      Water being in laminar flow pure and filtered will trap the laser beam inside the water jet due to complete internal refraction. The laser light won't diffract due to this. So you get a very precise cut and also cooling at the cut.
