(never ever expected it) the news about techno dropped and i just want to see this vid as a tribute to how amazing he was, and i wish everyone here lots of luck and happiness in the (near) future. lots of love please take care of yourselves
I usually think of Tommy as the king, one, because Techno just seems so inherently the soldier to me. Two, because although he was never really president, Tommy is very good as rousing people and getting them to fight with him. I mean, think to after the scuffle at the ruined community house. Nearly everyone there hated, or at least disliked Tommy, but he still convinced a whole lot of people to fight for L'manberg.

This is such a cute animation, the linework isn't clean, but that brings a really nice feel to the animation and your drawing skills are amazing- YOUR HANDS-😩😩 Anyway- Such a pretty animation :D💛

If anyone is thinking of arguing that Techno can't be the king because he was an anarchist, well, the song is about JC, and he wasn't interested in being a king either- rather, the people followed him because it was what they wanted, as we do with Techno. He is the best fit IMO
I think Wilbur is all 3, let me explain: He is a soldier, he fought in the l’Manburg war, he is a poet, he convinces his people with his incredible speeches and he is a ruler, he was the ruler of l’Manburg for quite some time
I love your Techno design. I've always thought that even though I do think Techno being King is confusing but he's the only one who wears a crown XD. But also he's technically all of them. He's a Warrior/Soldier, a Scholar/Poet, and the King of Anarchy.
I went to a Shakespeare show my older sister was in and they sang this song bc the show was Henry V ,and I freaked out and could only think about this animatic
PERSONALLY, i think that the role king suits tommy more than techno because: if he gets the king responsibilities i think he would handle them well and rule the people. but the soldier role suits him quite well also. for techno i think responsibilities just dont suit him. i think he would try to get rid of them and be free. so ig the soldier role suits techno more. but i see ur point here. (this is just my opinion so if u wanna share yours, feel free to do so!) WELL DONE WITH THE ANIMATION! its awesome :D

I find funny how while many argue and switch accordingly whether Techno or Tommy are the soldier or the king, everyone agrees that Wilbur is the Poet.
