It’s worth nothing that the SpongeBob SquarePants DVD “Tales from the Deep”, which features and is themed to “Party Pooper Pants”, actually contains a re-recorded version of The Humpback Hop in its main menu. The fact that Nickelodeon redid the entire track from scratch instead of just using the version they already had in their archives implies that some sort of licensing problem is going on preventing the track from getting officially released, but the specifics of that issue (assuming there actually is one) have yet to be disclosed.
You know, I was kind of thinking about that since I remember having the DVD menu on for a good 10 minutes or so just watching that and was wondering if that was the exact same version from the episode. Its been YEARS since I watched that DVD.

Not exactly music but I tried recreating the sound effect of the alarm that sounds when the rocket is launched in the episode where they go to the moon without success I know it's a pitched up version of a stock old car horn sound effect but every time I try to pitch it up it doesn't sound right at all (I'm guessing it's a combination of the reverb and maybe old software doing things differently than modern software, or maybe I'm just doing it wrong lol) I'd love to get a good recreation of it because it is a really cool sound

The Yellow Album dosen't have ANY of the Background Music. Everything on that Album was songs that got a focus in the show (some being sung by the characters)

When the first demo was shown off we were still hearing the mono tracks so I initially began a movement within the SpongeBob videogame community. Following several videos, contacting THQ Nordic and me with a friend chatting back and forth with the original composers, an agreement was struck between the 2 companies and they were able to release the archived stereo tracks! They even went on to hire them again for the next game, The Cosmic Shake which is due out on January 31st!
Seeing obscure songs like this getting covered makes me really hope that someday we will get a full version of the dance song from the Penguins of Madagascar episode “Assault and Batteries” That song has been stuck in my head for damn near 14 years lmao and I’m pretty sure it’s lost too.

A similar song I've wanted to hear the full release of is Musical Doodle from SpongeBob Season 7's Earworm. I'm not sure if there is actually a full version that they used when recording the episode or not, but seeing as these other songs have extended versions, I'd argue that Musical Doodle would also have an extended cut of sorts.

the full song’s still lost, the ones on TH-cam are just edits of the song as it plays in the episode which try to isolate the song from the episode’s sound effects and dialogue
i knew this was going to cover humpback hop less than a minute into the video.. i don't know whether or not to be proud. that said, i love seeing a big channel cover the infamous and unrippable spongebob track that is loved by the entirety of the spongebob music community (yes, that's a thing. it's a nice place, i recommend it. people have managed to rip many of the unreleased OST from the show, including the "new" krusty krab theme Jovial Pirate's Jig).

I don't even remember this episode at all, despite loving SpongeBob and being a Nickelodeon kid growing up. Discovering an old episode like this is always strange.
It was never aired very often from what I remember. In fact, I'm not sure if I ever saw it air a single time. I think I only knew it from the Season 3 DVD box set.
I remember this episode vividly. Being more of a Nickelodeon kid myself in the 2000s, I can recall that Nickelodeon would play this episode every once in a blue moon (if fact, you'd be lucky if they even played it again nowadays) and let me tell you, this song has been BOUNCING AROUND MY DAMN HEAD FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS NOW. However, I remember the song sounding slightly different than how it actually went apparently. Although, the fact that Nickelodeon seems to rarely air this episode at all nowadays doesn't help Humpback Hop's obscurity and it's status as being lost media. Hell, I don't even know if Nickelodeon even airs this episode AT ALL anymore as I've never really engaged in watching TV anymore since 2017-2018. Either way, it still is a rather interesting topic nonetheless and yes. Along with (accordingly) a lot of people, I do hope more info about this song or even the full version of this song does crop up sometime or at least something of the sort.

Theo appears to have a SoundCloud. It's possible that by "website" they meant "SoundCloud" or something similar, and the song was at one point available on it but later removed. I've seen people use the term "website" pretty loosely to talk about something like a Tumblr or SoundCloud rather than an actual domain owned by the person in question. (granted I'm not sure if that SoundCloud would have been around during the time of that post.)

the humpback hop is something ive actually know about for a while because i found some people trying to restore the song i think a couple years back and thought it sounded sweet with some of the jankiness almost adding to it sounding like a remix one of my favourite songs from spongebob and from my favourite episode is the spongehenge song; its sorta a hard thing to pin down since it was basically an ever present force in the episode; but i dont think there was ever a full "release' of it which is sad theres versions on youtube of the part at the end and the very end has spongebobs laugh jankily edited out; but i dont think theres ever been anything about the parts/version that happen throughout the episode which is a shame theres other songs that only appear in the backgrounds of some shows which i really love which never get releases and it forever annoys me; like the song from the beggining scene of the episode "keeping it together' from steven universe its just kinda sad to me really; its a shame some songs get lost or stuck deliriously unclean or something

i actually own all of the spongebob music CDs (its a collector thing dont ask me why) all of the newer ones are just song parodies im not aware of anything similar on any of the disks i own, could check again tho
I should mention that an instrumental portion of the song plays in the DVD menu for the Tales from the Deep DVD. Of course it’s not the full version, but it’s the closest we have to an instrumental portion of the song.
On the topic of lost Spongebob songs, I remember reading on the wiki that two of the most recognizable tunes from the soundtrack, Botany Bay (B) and Botany Bay (C), initially were part of a set with another pair of versions (A and D), which were never used on the show. I've been curious on this topic ever since, but my attempts on investigation have been futile. Maybe you could look into it, since it seems like you're the guy for these type of mysteries.
Another thing I just thought of: I'm gonna be working right next to my favorite thrift store soon (probably). If I do I'll join the lost media discord and take pictures of the VHSes, DVDs, Tapes, and CDs when they put new stuff on the shelves. I dont know if this has been looked into yet but several years ago the nickelodeon site used to have free digital albums of music from some shows, including spongebob. If that got archived somewhere maybe those albums may have had it. But given no physical album has it, it would be extreme luck if this was the case.

I’ve been a huge fan of ELO and I was talking with my father one night, who recalled a Alcoa (Though it is possible it could’ve been another company) commercial with the song “Hold on Tight” in 1981-82 closely linked to the Cincinnati Bengals. I'm a huge fan of the background music in the Aladdin TV show. Never released. I asked the original composer about it and he confirmed he still has it, but not in a sharable format.

There's a lost song in the beginning of the Jetsons movie known as "Got Ya" when George is heading to work after being caught by the police for speeding. There's a several second snippet featured, but no record of it online or officially released via album. I've been looking for 10 years.

A similar song I've wanted to hear the full release of is Musical Doodle from SpongeBob Season 7's Earworm. I'm not sure if there is actually a full version that they used when recording the episode or not, but seeing as these other songs have extended versions, I'd argue that Musical Doodle would also have an extended cut of sorts.

Great video! There is also another Spongebob song that hasn't been fully released that I would like to see be found one day. It's the song Bee Lline For The Tree Line and it only appears in Spongebob Vs. The Big One. It has never been released without the sfx even after so many years.

I used to own the SpongeBob DVD and it contained bits and pieces of this song but I had no idea it was reworked or even knew this particular song was lost media. I hope the original version of this song gets released someday!

the full song’s still lost, the ones on TH-cam are just edits of the song as it plays in the episode which try to isolate the song from the episode’s sound effects and dialogue

i knew this was going to cover humpback hop less than a minute into the video.. i don't know whether or not to be proud. that said, i love seeing a big channel cover the infamous and unrippable spongebob track that is loved by the entirety of the spongebob music community (yes, that's a thing. it's a nice place, i recommend it. people have managed to rip many of the unreleased OST from the show, including the "new" krusty krab theme Jovial Pirate's Jig).
It is simply amazing that you can spend 20 goddamn minutes on a video and not only never even play a snippet of the song, but also never mention it's out there AND in good quality.

It was never aired very often from what I remember. In fact, I'm not sure if I ever saw it air a single time. I think I only knew it from the Season 3 DVD box set.

I remember this episode vividly. Being more of a Nickelodeon kid myself in the 2000s, I can recall that Nickelodeon would play this episode every once in a blue moon (if fact, you'd be lucky if they even played it again nowadays) and let me tell you, this song has been BOUNCING AROUND MY DAMN HEAD FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS NOW. However, I remember the song sounding slightly different than how it actually went apparently.
Although, the fact that Nickelodeon seems to rarely air this episode at all nowadays doesn't help Humpback Hop's obscurity and it's status as being lost media. Hell, I don't even know if Nickelodeon even airs this episode AT ALL anymore as I've never really engaged in watching TV anymore since 2017-2018.
Either way, it still is a rather interesting topic nonetheless and yes. Along with (accordingly) a lot of people, I do hope more info about this song or even the full version of this song does crop up sometime or at least something of the sort.

Theo appears to have a SoundCloud. It's possible that by "website" they meant "SoundCloud" or something similar, and the song was at one point available on it but later removed. I've seen people use the term "website" pretty loosely to talk about something like a Tumblr or SoundCloud rather than an actual domain owned by the person in question.
(granted I'm not sure if that SoundCloud would have been around during the time of that post.)
i've actually checked, and unfortunately, its not there neither, in the comment section of his Track, Nocturnal Sojurn Master, it would appear to be that someone commented about The Humpback Hop, with Theo Mondle replying to it, saying: "I sure can...but, Nickelodeon owns the copyright which prevents me from posting it I guess."

Yeah, you can consider me a supporter in getting the song released in some way... mostly because I want to see people dance to it in the same way Patrick did in the original episode. Here's hoping it'll be in The Cosmic Shake!

My friend was discussing this with me but he's discovered that someone mass uploaded a ton of SpongeBob mobile games that were considered lost for a long time. Including a game called SpongeBob kart which doesn't even have a Wikipedia page. It was uploaded on internet archive. I'd love to see you talk about that stuff
the humpback hop is something ive actually know about for a while because i found some people trying to restore the song i think a couple years back and thought it sounded sweet with some of the jankiness almost adding to it sounding like a remix
one of my favourite songs from spongebob and from my favourite episode is the spongehenge song; its sorta a hard thing to pin down since it was basically an ever present force in the episode; but i dont think there was ever a full "release' of it which is sad
theres versions on youtube of the part at the end and the very end has spongebobs laugh jankily edited out; but i dont think theres ever been anything about the parts/version that happen throughout the episode which is a shame
theres other songs that only appear in the backgrounds of some shows which i really love which never get releases and it forever annoys me; like the song from the beggining scene of the episode "keeping it together' from steven universe
its just kinda sad to me really; its a shame some songs get lost or stuck deliriously unclean or something

On the topic of lost Spongebob songs, I remember reading on the wiki that two of the most recognizable tunes from the soundtrack, Botany Bay (B) and Botany Bay (C), initially were part of a set with another pair of versions (A and D), which were never used on the show. I've been curious on this topic ever since, but my attempts on investigation have been futile. Maybe you could look into it, since it seems like you're the guy for these type of mysteries.

I dont know if this has been looked into yet but several years ago the nickelodeon site used to have free digital albums of music from some shows, including spongebob. If that got archived somewhere maybe those albums may have had it. But given no physical album has it, it would be extreme luck if this was the case.

I’ve been a huge fan of ELO and I was talking with my father one night, who recalled a Alcoa (Though it is possible it could’ve been another company) commercial with the song “Hold on Tight” in 1981-82 closely linked to the Cincinnati Bengals. We attempted to find it but seemed to be lost, I thought this would be an interesting topic for Lost Media discussion, as it could be found through a VHS tape. Though it is possible he could be remembering wrong, I think this commercial could’ve existed.

Hey I just remembered some lost media, there is a Lego Star Wars 3 the clone wars demo disc I had it as a kid but lost it I remember it specifically being the level shadow of malevolence but it was only that
In the episode Truth or Square, there is a song called “A Day Like This”. It’s not on Spotify but it’s available on TH-cam and there’s also a version without any vocals from Tom Kenny/SpongeBob. The version with the Tom Kenny/SpongeBob has little SpongeBob shoe squeaks and ‘d like to listen to it on Spotify.
